Hey everyone any tips on locking into body position while in corners? I'm 5'7" so a little on the short side, I find when i try and hang off its hard for me to lock my outside leg into a stable position the more I get my butt off. Much more than like 1/2-3/4 of a cheek off and it feels really unstable, like I can't reach the pegs or my lower body is no longer facing the turn. Maybe stomp grips? Shave the seat a little? Here's a couple pics, was taking it pretty easy in the turn and it looks like I can hang off a lot more.

it looks that you dont need to hang off more than that. the pody position looks good. what you need is more speed thus more lean angle in that turn. all i can say is that you have to work for better potion of your feet on the pegs. if you dont know the theory how to position your feet on the pegs i will be happy to explain.
i am 5´8´´ and dont have any problems. i moved the pegs back

Thanks tasman, I've been working on being more comfortable entering turns at higher speeds. Been taking it slow since I'm pretty new. I usually can get lower on sweepers where I have a good view of what is ahead so I can gauge my entry speed better vs. this turn which is a bit blind.

You're not short.... not even close. It really has nothing to do with your height, once you get use to hanging off the bike it will feel more natural. And what you need to do is slide your butt back more for that "locking in" that you're talking about.

My guess from the pics is that your crotch is smushed up against the tank making your inner thigh where nut sack is what's TRYING to hang onto the tank. If you slide your ass back your inner knee is what makes contact with the tank/subframe/seat area. Then rotate your hip, torso, shoulder, and head facing the turn.

Cool I'll try that out, does it matter how much I'm hanging off? Since the seat is wider it seems I'd be hanging off less for the same amount of sidways movement as more forward in the seat.
