The OEM version of the Stones 016 on our bikes are not even close to the none OEM version according to Sportriders review of the tire in this months issue.

The non OEM have up to 4 separate sections of different compounds. The OEM front is only a single compound and the rear is only 2 compounds instead of 4.

Just though you should know so you can make an informed decision on the tires performance.

Good Information, not that I would run Bridgestones again after these are worn - street or track it is always Pirelli's on my bikes.

rossi would disagree

Rossi really put himself out there this year changing brands and has admitted both tire companies have leveled the playing field this season. For the street Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3's are awesome, quick heat up and great grip - they will not last a real long time depending on how you ride but 3K is plenty of life on tires for me.

I was able to push the 016's today and IMO I think the 002 I ran last year were better.

002 racing streets are more track oriented street tires and the 016 are more street tires.

My bike has done 3500km now and the OM BT-016`s are beginning to show signs of swear, even the front tire is soon worn out on the side...

New Michelin Pilot Power 2CT will go on after the BT016`s done their work...

I think the BT016's do their job just fine. Even if it's not the ones you can buy over the shelf, they're plenty good enough for any rider. Of course, when these are gone, I may switch over the GP 209s..

How do the Bt16's compare to the D207's on my 2K GSXR-750? I haven't pushed the BT's yet, but the D207's kept me alive on many occasions and stuck to the pavement everytime I pushed.

they are light years ahead of the 207. I think that the 207 is the worst sport street tire I've ever ridden on.
