installed this on my Black K8, very well made and looks great. Just waiting for my plates to arrive and know I need to find a carbon fiber license plate holder to keep everything as dark as possible. Nice LED light illuminates plate but is very unobtrusive looking and blends in well.

I just fitted an r&g tail tidy, very easy to do if you take your time, pop 5 rivets off, 3 on top 2 underneath, take the old tail piece off, disconnect it first, fit the new one, wire it up first, check it works, and thats it.
Very simple.

ps I dont have a garage either !!

under 10 minutes to install. The LED plate light is bright enough for the cops and is attached out of the way and neat up on top. Pop off old, tighten 4 allen bolts and splice the plate wires from the old fender to the new tail tidy. Make sure you get positive and negative before you seal the wires. If you do not see any light when your bike is on swap the wires.

Why pay for a tail tidy etc... when you can do this with the OEM brackets:

hmmmm why? because you have a $11,000 bike and why have some homemade looking eliminator on your bike when for $60, you can have something that compliments your bike and looks factory. That is why. I applaud your money saving efforts, but a professionally fabrictaed piece looks much better than a bent dremeled hacked eliminator.

Well, to each his own. And for the record, no dremel was used. I just bent the oem bracket and attached the license plate bracket. IMO it doesn't look at all like some hacked up unit. In fact, it's very neat and since my undertail is black, it blends right in. Incognito, details here: Click (http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181327)

100% agreed bro. Plus I have kept all my stock parts in a box (rear fender, rear seat, exhaust etc) so when I come to sell it, I can put it back to stock IF need be.
