Any way to lock the seat down? maybe oddly shaped allen bolts to replace the OEM's that require a special tool for removal? Pretty easy for someone to release the 2 bolts, lift the seat and jack the battery fuses...cut wires.

They're called Security Torx (pronounced Torq) Heads. Its just like a regular torx head, but you have to have the special bit that has a little hole drilled in the middle to accommodate (slip over) the little pin in the middle.
I'm sure you can order the right bolt size/length and thread pitch from a bolt store, fastenal for example...

its faster to lift the bike and throw it in a minivan or truck than to take out the allen bolts. :cheers

Thanks, amongst all the smart allic remarks someone actually posted some pertinent info. In LA if it ain't bolted down it will get taken. I have my bike locked to an imovable post, but the battery and fuses etc can be taken in 10 seconds.

them star torq prolly wont help tho, i got a full set of them tamper proof torq bits in my toolbox at work...i know not everyone has a set but its not hard to get a set either....if someone steals your battery thats the least of your worries atleast they didnt steal your whole bike.

okay stupid question. I was curious and popped out the backseat of my bike to check out the bag of tools that came with the bike and it was fastened tight to something. I didn't have a lot of time to look and my garage was rather dark. How are you suppose to pull that bag of tools out of that trunk???.. u just pull? it seemed really fastened tight... i am gonna find a flashlight and check it out nxt time but i figured to ask in here since its on my mind right now as i am working (or trying to work)...

if you look there is a big black rubber band looking thing holding the bag of tools down, just pull it to either side to get it to come off the hook its on and you now have access to your bag o' tools
