I know that this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but I have a completly stock 02 600. What would you recommend I go to in regard to a new front/rear sprocket and chain when the time comes?

-1 front +2 rear DID or RK chain I use a DID 525VM.

well if you do a ton of stunts maybe, but i'd just drop one tooth that's all you'd basically need.

Yea, I'd say the big question is what do you like to do? Race, stunt, just put putt'n around?
It'll make a big difference on what people will recomend.

I've got a 520 conversion coming in the mail right now with -1 in the front and +2 in the rear. I like to ride agressivlely though and do some stunts.

DID makes good chains, but I've never tried RK(prob the same) check out Sprocket Center (http://www.sprocketcenter.com/home.asp) . They've got some good stuff http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

And with being on a 750 that's even a crazier gearing. A 750 can power up in 2nd stock if you do it right. So with your 6 just ask your self what you like to do. You can get 1,2,3 gears up stock if you know how. Its just a matter of learning.

I like hitting the twisties best, but want to learn to wheelie my 03 sixxer. It won't come up for me just under power bouncing. I've heard that you can actually see an increase in top speed going up a tooth on the rear as the power curve will allow you to accel to redline in 6th, but stock the power peters out around 11.5k so it takes forever to get up to redline.

What recoomendations do folks have?

well if you drop teeth up front or add to the rear you lose top end. But gain torque. If you add to the front or drop the rear you get the opposite. More top end less torque. If you want more top speed get a bigger bike. Get NOS, turbo, bore out your engine, and a couple of other expensive things. But why would you need to even think about hitting redline in 6th. absolutly no point.

So the best option is -1 at front and +2 at rear, is the performance difference noticeable? how much will the speedo be out (in the uk we have gatsos on most roads so have to be careful) - and whats the best gold chain to use
