so until akrapovic released exhausts in june/july. im not after any other aftermarket parts much, just small things that as a whole will give it a new look and kinda pimp it out. so far this is what ive done

removed, suzuki front and back sticker (the world suzuki)
removed the 600 stickers ( the blue looked bad, couldnt read)
removed the warning and safety stickers.
added a few carbon replica stickers
put shoei and bridgestone stickers on
painted bridgestone white on tyres
added some blue tyre caps
bike store name on windsheild (they do it to all sold bikes)

future mods - new numberplate bracket (when i find one)
new exhaust (june/july)

i was thinking about putting strongers lights on. like a little bit stronger normal light. and like a superpowerful high beam, since like 10km drive home there are no street poles or houses. any advice on the lights

or any other advice on what to do to pimp my ride

take off the chain guard... every bike looks better with out it in my opinion. Just get some good chain lube and you shouldn't have a problem with fling. I like what you did with the tires. Good idea, thats sick.

P.s
Have fun with those white tires. They stay clean for about 3 seconds.

can you get better looking chain gaurds.

cause where i live. the back mudgaurd and undertail on a wet day and totally muddy, and my numberplate gets muddy. my pegs and frame all at the back get crazy muddy. this is from driving 10km ph slow up my street and driveway like 200 yards. in the dry its fine, but in the wet my chain would get totally coverd in mud and i guess that would be very bad?

i like the idea of a carbon one?

Suzuki Squid

I'm pretty sure your chain gets shit on it anyways. That chain gaurd isn't made to protect the chain from rain/mud etc. It's meant to protect the you from the chain...

Bike looks good man, I just took the same stickers off my 600 (blue/white) version. Im having trouble with the warning stickers though, ive seen advice such as hairdryers, and heatguns, but im afraid about how long / much heat to apply as i dont want to mess up the pain. As far as lights, im goin to go for some liteeyes.com HID kits, they are priced well, and have a good selection of Kelvins..

i'm really diggin the white lettering on the tires...Hope u don't mind if i copy. A white rim strip with the white bridgestone on my blue wheels will look tasty. And to the fella concerned about using a heat gun to remove the stickers, just be careful and you'll be fine. I used my gun at the 500F setting and did absolutely no damage to the paint. Here's some pics of my pimp mission:

you launch at 15k? :wtf

to be honest im not really knowledged in the bikeing world i just road a 125 for 1 year thats all, ive not really been on any group rides or events so im still learning the parts and terms.

what i ment was. go 1krpm to 15krpm in 1st gear(basicly go through the whole rpm range<, not rideing clutch)

launching at 15krpm does that mean i start off at 15krpm and go, cause i didnt mean that.

also gzer, i hope u do paint ur tyres, it aint copying, to be honest i copied it off a guy on aprilia forum. its cheap and makes a big difference, once i get a front stand im going to try and do the front bridgestone. just go to a car product store, and get a specialised pen, cost me 6 euros. dont buy just whatever, buy the pricey car store one so it dosnt damage ur tyres. get a good pen and it will take u like 10 minutes. i originally did it with a news agency marker i was given, and it was very hard to get enough paint on the tip to make it looks any good. (it was blotchy)

can you tell me the brand of ur numberplate bracket, i want one like that. i see a gixxer for sale in the store with the best bracket, but they dont have k8 ones yet.

i dont know much about the hid lights. so if somone can give me a little info so i can get what i need, as the people speak basic english so it may get hard.

what strength bulbs will be good, i was thinking like, 1 strength higher for normal light, and like 2 strength higher for the highbeams. ill post a video of the 10km twisty mountain i live up, the highbeams are great. on my 125 i cant ride fast, low beams cant see far away enough, and the high beams are aimed way too high so you cant see infront of you, i really like the gixxer cause u get the infront and distance, as on my 125 its either or.

its almost 4am another hour or two, before live coverage starts. im not sure if coverage starts of free runs practice or only before 125s but im staying awake to watch it. i been up since 7am and feel so sick, so i grabbed a little party gear to stay awake, so im just going to type u all to death while i wait.

im still finding the gsxr, i can do some of the corners faster cause of the power, but i dont feel cumfortable to lean it over as far as my aprilia. maybe since its new and i dont got sliders. so we will see,, i got like 300 miles on the clock right now

I originally had my heart set on a yellow GSX-R600, but the new yellow/silver scheme is not quite doing it for me. I don't think I like the silver. What do you guys think of this variation?

i have a white and blue 750 i just wished that suzuki would have gave the 750 the white and silver color of the 600...man do i love that bike...the last time a bike got me so wet in the pants was back in 1993 the red white and blue CBR-600F2:yumyum

i have a number plate bracket, coming in a couple weeks. my sliders should arrive for my first service on the 20th. hopefully the bracket does too.

hit 146 mph the other day, bike was really hard to get the bugs off the front and my jacket.

also after a good chain tighten and lube, the back rims are sooo dirty and going black.

what to use for this, i read goo gone alot but we dont have here, what is good and wont hurt the paint, like mineral terps or metholayted spirits or wd40?

thanks

make sure you get ur pics up in the k8 pics thread :)

Check your owners manual. It's a EU and Australia feature that immobilizes your engine so that it only works with your key to prevent theft.

i know on the diagram it points every other indicator out but skips right over the 3rd one (aka red key light). unless you're talkin about another random place in the manual that Suzuki stuffed that info. far as i have read it's not in the US manual.

but nonetheless, you answered my question, thanks.

If you took off the rear stock fender you will find two of them in there. They have the same size allen head bolts with the same thread. Total cost 0.00 dollars.

Have they got the same sized non-threaded shank though? Very important to stop tightening against the plastic itself and possibly cause cracking later on.

Cool story bro. And thanks for bringing back a 3 1/2 y/o thread to tell it. :thumbup One of a kind? I see tons of black Gixxers and they are all fast as hell. Your full exhaust and tune doesn't make it that much faster than others. Unless you have serious engine work, the bike is only as fast as it's rider.
