what does your owner's manual say? and how long have you been riding your bike(s..?) without knowing this....? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif and by the way, lack of fear and caution equal looped http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif's.

depends on the oil you use and how often the bike is completely ragged on.....in your case since you seem to play in high rpms alot with the wheelies and such, id probably change it every 2500 or so if running synthetic to stay completely safe

Unless you race, as in roadracing, there's really no need to change the oil, and filter more often than at 3k...

Another big question to ask is what is the engine temp most of the time. If your staying in the 180 to 190 range, you don't have to worry about anything but if you're constantly in the 220 to 235 range it puts more stress on the oil.

I alway seem to be in traffic, so the bike is often in the 220+ range.

I change mine at every 2k miles. I try to wheelie at every chance i get as well. I would rather change it more often that not enough. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Well doing wheelie definetly heats up the oil alot. So if you're up in the 220 plus range all the time I'd shoot for 2500 miles or so. Hopfully you're using synthetic cause it doesn't break down so easy. I'd say the other main reason to change it so often would be if you clutch it up all the time then the clutch is wearing more often and clogging up the fiter faster. Well Hope this helps.
Good luck http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I change mine about every 3000km. Bel-Ray synthetic. It shifts a little smoother with fresh oil. Wheelies are hard on motors cuz all the oil goes to the back. Extra main bearing & valvetrain wear.
