Its been miserable and rainy. Finally dried out late afternoon.

G1k crashed in practice
Dave crashed in Race 2

Both were ok.

I did ok in race 7, only did 17's but i was on very very old tires which had a billion laps in em and about 1000 heat cycles. Figured if I could really push it on fresh tires I would do well.

Put fresh rubber on for MWGP, go out for the start. Go into turn 1 and Pete Douvris comes around the outside of me, goes in hot, trails brakes and tucks the front right into me. I run him over and fall down. His bike smashes me in the back. Right now my hip is killing me along with my collarbone, shouderblade, and neck. He was out cold, broken nose, eyes rolled back, convulsions. I got to him first and called for an ambulance.

After a long red flag delay, I was able to get my bike back to pits and kinda repaired. Bend rearset was doable, broken clutch perch wasn't. Thanx to G1k for slapping his F3 lever on my bike. NEP rigged up some zipties and duct tape to keep the upper attached to the fairing stay (which was mostly broken). Bottom line--bike didn't feel right, clutch didn't really work (had to hold down the rear brake on the start to keep the bike from rolling), I was in major pain and only could do 19's finishing 12th.

Tommorow is calling for heavy rains so looks my season finale was a bust. I'm 3 for 3--3 crashes and all from other people hitting and taking me out. And to think I pay money for this.

ya, i like pete too, but he's been riding WAY to aggressive lately, needs to chill a bit. Last I heard he was out cold, and when he came around he couldn't put words together (just babble) and then he blacked out again. He's at the hospital still.

Turns his he ran himself over (a` la BMF) and his bike hit him in the face (and then hit me).

thats too bad. at least everyone will be ok... i wish i could have been up there. its sunday and i still feel off.

Well, LRRS over and I finished it with a nice soaking wet rain race. I hate the rain but didn't puss out. Finished 6th (aka last) but I got some more points.

I'm sore as shit from the Saturday crash.

On a better note, I found a guy who wants me to bring 3 bikes down to Daytona so i'm really REALLY in now. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (also got my daytona slicks in the trailer.)

You didn't see is launch yesterday, I thought he was going to fling the bike at us, watching the start, the poor inocent cone, what did it ever do to Adam?

But he has already said he doesn't want to race in the rain down there as well.

Rumor has it, that it isn't very fun wet track.

Last time I was there it rained, in fact everytime I have been there on Vacation it has rained at least once, isn't it still hurricane season too? or did you forget that?
