is that fully stock? and 122? damn I guess i was being optimistic, cause i was thinking 125-130 range, if its only 120 or so, then that mean a stock 600 would probably only be 100 or so?

a local k8 750 stock pulled 137 to the rear wheel. They put a custom slip on and got to 143hp. this was at a local exhaust makers shop here in spokane, washington.

thx guys for all the feedback. Not that I'm going to race it(at the track:burnout) but just some nice info to know. I figured it would be similar to k7, maybe a little more, but 125 or 135rwhp is nice either way. I had an '01 gsxr600 w/full yosh and race filter, weighed about 380lbs. and only had about 90's horsepower so its going to be like night and day!

Hp is all relative, particularly if a Dynojet dyno is used.

Comparing numbers from different dynojet dynos is like describing a shade of the colour blue over the phone and asking the other person to pick the correct shade from a colour chart.

The only way to do it is with the same dyno and compare the before and after. Or use a Factory Pro dyno. They use a different method to measure and it is more accurate and consistent.

I just dyno'd my K7 600, bone stock except a K&N filter....and it put down 129 hp and 50 lb/ft. There was a Duc 1098S that went right before me, and those are rated at 160 hp from the factory and it put down 157 on the same dyno. So I figured the dyno was relatively accurate, but I see that most people with K6-K7s are only putting down 104ish. Does the fact that it was SAE corrected have anything to do with the high numbers that I got? Just trying to figure out why the Duc was so close to it's claimed power output, and I was so far above what everyone else's claimed output is for the K7 600. I've got a picture of the dyno sheet if you want to see it, I'll have to scan it in though...

Thanks for any input.

Just a guess here but I'm thinking they adjusted it for what is being put out at the Crank shaft .

Absolutely no fucking way. The operator did something to effect those numbers.

My K7 750 just went on a Factory Pro dyno.

The factory pro does REAL Hp, so to convert it to Dynojet numbers multiply it by 1.15

Did a before and after runs.

First run 115hp at rear (132.25hp on Dynojet)
Had with stock muffler that has had the Cat removed (so its like a slip-on), Set Valve removed, PAIR mod done, Factory Pro Velocity Stacks, Factory Pro Timing advancer, stock air filter.

Second set of runs was as above, but with BMC Race filter added and the Throttle body secondary butterflys removed. Then fuel adjusted with TECKA tool.

121hp (139.15hp on Dynojet)

The fueling didnt need changing below 10,000rpm, and just a bit of a fettle above that.

The end result was not much change below 10000rpm, but over 10hp more between 10500 and 12000, and 6hp more at peak.

08's aren't suppose to be any more on power to the 06-07's which again weren't much more on power to the 04-05's.

power across will be the same for the 5yrs. i'm not worried about power. the only thing nice 06 and newer is the slipper clutch.

I have 2 Dynojet 250i dynos in my shop that are well maintained and read nearly the same back to back runs going from one immediately to the other.

Your Dynojet numbers are way off. I've never seen those kind of numbers on 750's on either of my dynos. I see more like the numbers you are claiming on Factory Pro dyno. You should have used a PC, numbers would have been better!

my bike is a k8 600 with a full yosh system and custom tune.

it made 98 actual rear wheel hp on our superflow cycledyn (about 110 dynojet hp)

my old 06 1000 made 138 on our dyno, and 160 on the dynojet at bike night.

don't ask for hp numbers when you get it dyno tuned. Ask for the air to fuel ratio. If you want numbers that's easy to do and you'll get the best numbers as your engine slowly kills itself for being too lean.

My k8 750 made 132.5 with full yoshi r55 system, k&n filter pc3, ignition module on a factory pro dyno.

Pretty happy with that.

Thats with timing retarded 2 degrees too.
