hey hey all,
I know there are a heap of people out there that get a new bike then put 1000k's on it in 4 years. As for myself i actually use it as an every day commuting bike to work and back and booting around on days off through the hills. I have clocked 12000k's this year. I know this city riding in traffic etc cant be that good for my suzi but how bad is it actually? Does it really stuff the bike up? they are racing machines but does riding in th rain, stopping starting etc kill life off of the bike, thanks in advance all:)

the more miles you put on it, the more you have to do regular maintenance sked... as long as you pratice this, it will last for a long time... i use to have a 120mi-a-day commute but I make sure i do regular maintenance, its still good as new...

- lube chain every 500mi
- change oil every 2000mi, oil filter every 4000mi

or follow the maintenance schedule that cme with your bike, and it will last for a long time or better yet get an OEM service manual
