Why are the no-cut ones less durable?

Because the no cut uses a bracket that attaches to the frame, then the slider on the bracket, whereto the CUT have no brackets and attach directly onto the frame.

Ah, makes a lot of sense. So the cut ones you have to cut the fairing?
