Ok, I have a vibration/buzz that I can feel at my pegs a little and through my clipons at high RPMs. It does not get worse as I go faster, only when the engine speed is higher. Ive taken it to high RPMs while in neutral and I can still feel it. Its not really bad but enough for me to be annoyed by it. I know the previous owner was using synthetic and I switched back to normal oil when I got it and I just put a new clutch in but it was doing it before I changed it and I was hoping that a bad clutch was the culprit. A buddy told me to check my engine mounts, I will do that today but I was looking for any other suggestions. I tried a search but I didnt find what I was looking for. I had the same problem on my 00 750. It turned out to be the clutch basket. I'm assuming that you checked that when you changed the clutch. Maybe it's the motor mounts. I wouldn't ride it too hard until you find out what it is.

I big chunk of it was missing. I bought the bike like that and I don't know what in the hell he was doing with it. Cost me almost 400 bucks

A big chunk was missing from my clutch basket. I also had 2 damaged clutch plates. When the mech. replaced the clutch plates and the basket, I rode the bike and the clutch was slipping. Come to find out the steel plate (not the friction plate) was damaged also. Another 80 bucks for that but now it's fine. I have been told by many people that 00 750's are notorious for this problem. Just like the second gear thing.

i have a brand new 03 6, Mine vibrated quite a bit when new. Now i got about 1200km on it and its lessened, but i think maybe im noticing the same thing. When i rev it at 8 or so thousand and beyond i feel a vibration through the tank and into the bike. I figured it was normal though. I may be noticing something else entirely but the vibes i get dont bother me... it really smoothes up around 10k rpm.... i cant say for beyond that cuz im still breaking it in http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No, Im feeling my vibrations through the pegs and a little from the clipons. Its actually more of a buzz. Im gonna check the bike thoroughly this weekend.

I chased teh sae thing for a while, some bikes vibrate more then others, go though the bike torque everything down, and if it is still there let some one else that has a bike ride it and see if they notice it or take there bike and try it and see if it does teh same thing. If it is take it to the dealer and see what they say.

Ok, I feel like a squid. I knew my tires were low on pressure but it was low on my priority list because I was doing a clutch change. Neways, then the vibration persisted after the clutch change which pissed me off even more. well I went for a little ride to warm up the bike today and decided to take my trusty tire gage and put air in my tires and VIOLA! vibration gone. I didnt think that was my problem because it didnt increase with speed.
