i got my first sunny ride in today on my gsxr.

i did only about 40 miles. i went to pickup the mail from offical, half twisties, half city rideing. what pretty good. the power is intense on the gsxr, im breaking it in easy and changeing at 6k ive pushed 7k and 8k a few times, on the straights.

i went around a roundabout in first, trying to get a little lean on, and as i exited it twisted wrist and the front started to lift, with no clutch..

should the front lift that easily,

also im having a problem, u know when ur going around round abouts.. well i like to get decent speed if traffic isnt bad, so do like 20 mph around them nice little lean and fun corner. in first gear i cant hold a solid apex and keep the same speed. second is still pretty powerful.. what gear should i be doing low speed corners in. do i go 2nd or 3rd so i dont over twist, or will i learn to keep the speed the same, cause its impossible for me to keep it steedy in first, 20mph becomes 30 in no time and u fuck up your driving lines.

the front brake, so far with about 80 miles on the clock. the front brake is weak, everyone saying gixxer front brakes are weak? i hope the brake gets better after 600 miles, but is the brake weak? cause im used to a nice strong brake on my rs125 and the gixxer just feels weak.

right now i feel i can ride my 125 faster in the twisties.. but i dont really wanna lean and give it a hard run till i got engine worn in, and i got sliders on my bike, still waiting for them to arrive :(

but after rideing my gixxer, i took me 125 to get its chain tighted and i felt the bike was much slower, and then i started to hit corners at faster speeds ( gixxer corner speeds were lower then 125s) so i cant even corner as fast with my gixxer yet, but my corner speeds in the twisties on my way home have increased by alot if i wanna get real low to the ground.

im going to start to do track days on my 125 when the weather gets better.
how do the local track days work where you live. and first time did you just show up and learn, or did you gotta go in beginner group and learn first.

For track day it varies but many make you take a new rider class the first time. They are not bad especially if you pay attention. I take advantage of any training I can get as you never stop learning.

Yes the front end comes up especially depending on your weight and body position.

Basically every corner is different and there is no magic speed or gear it is more being in the right RPM range throughout the corner and not running out of gear while being able to get the hardest drive out of the corner you can.

The brakes will bed in as time goes on but if you want hard core brakes you will at a minimum need lines and pads. Vesrah pad are one of the top pads and used by many but running a hard core pad on the street has it up's and downs.

I like the Vesrah 17 and Gaffler Super-bike lines.
