Ok guys this is simple. I'm trying to decide which one to get. 2008 750 or 2007 750. The guy left me a brand new 07 750 for 8,999 and the 08 will be 10,600. I want to know if the 2008 is worth the extra money??? I want black so the 08 would be nice, but for 1,600 more? im not sure, the 07 I would get the dark gray with black. Help me out guys? quick

Don't like the emission garbage on the 08. I think the 07 is a better deal, just money wise and you go riding less debt.

you could spend that extra money on gear.

Yep, if your not racing, or absolutely love the styling of the 08. I got a 07 closeout and am glad I did.

Get an 08. You spend a little more for a higher value bike. When and if you ever decide to get rid of it, it'll hold more value than the 07. Both are great bikes, but the 08 has cooler features. Don't mind the emissions because you'll be changing shi7 out anyway.

if you buy the k7 in a few days a k8 will pull up next to you and laugh, even though your bike is brand new, its still last years news...

if you get what i mean.

the gas emissions changes, just by getting a full exhaust system.

If it was me I would go with the 07 and bank the extra cash or spend it on gear and mods.

$1600 is a good saving and 10600 is to high for an 08.

Hi all, anyone out there can advise how is the handling of new K8 750, coz currently i owned k6 750, plus the salesman told me that i could transfer the aftermarket parts to the new k8 model. in a Dilemma whether to change or not. Thanks. :)

Surprisingly, only the 600 have arrived in singapore shores. still waiting for the 750 to arrive..

Geometry is the same they did revalve the forks and shock and added high speed compression damping.

Most will not be able to tell the difference between the handling of the 07 vs the 08.

Like has been said... I'd go with the 07 and use the other money for gear/mods:cheers

Besides, that dark grey is a sexy ass color:thumbup

I was in the same situation back in January, at that time I could not get the 07 for that much less. I priced them out and told myself if the 07 was $1000 less or more compared to the 08 I would buy it, could only get it about $750 cheaper . $1,600 is a good amount of money, you could get your gear and pay the insurance for the year compared to the 08.

Let us know what you decide.

is really depends on which one the outlook do you like most.
i think 2 years later, suzuki must be have a new outlook or new frame for k10, most of the brands 2 years for little bit change, 4 years for a big change.

I was in the same position as you in January. At the time the '08 weren't out yet but there was snow on the ground here anyways. They had an '07 Blk/grey leftover that I got for $8853. I absolutely love the bike. Handling is awesome, the colors are great. Save your $$$ and go with the '07 IMO

stigixxer,

i know everyone is saying to save money and go with the 07, but if you have the money and you like newer things then go with the 08. I really like my 07, but I love the look of the 08, imo.

Yea I see what you guys are saying... If i get the 07 than I'll have extra money to toss into gear, mods, and insurance. Than again like foskamink said, an 08 might pull up to me one day and I might be like damn! why didn't I just get the 08. As for now you guys are doing an awesome job helpin me out, but its still a damn hard choice. I mean, right now they have there suzuki fest deal going on where I can get the 08 at 7.9% rates for the first 2 years but after that it would shoot up to like 18%!! but I would pay it off within the first year either way, if not surely by the 2nd year. I just can't decided, and I want to get riding as soon as I can, cus the weather here is perfect for riding right now. And if I decide on the 08 I would have to wait a lil longer cus they don't have a Black one yet just a blue/white one. More advice would be great, but thx for those who have replied.

I do not know your credit history but those rates are crazy.

Go to your bank or a credit union and they should be able to get you better rates.

I was in the same position as the OP. 07 or 08 600, Went for the 07 but really wanted and liked the look of the 08, but im super happy i went with the 07 cause the looks are still bad ass, saved much cash, and was riding when many others were waiting a painful few weeks for the new ones. Get the 07 and save some cash, 10K is alot for a motorcycle.:cheers

Dude, nearly every post of yours that I have seen is retarded, including this one. Anyone who laughs at you for having a bike that is one year older than theirs is a fucking tool who you shouldn't care about in the first place. And the K7 and K8 are very similar, so its not like someone on a K8 is going to be any faster than you based on a one year difference in your bikes. Sorry, but that post makes you sound like a complete douche.

you obviously are a uptight asshole, its in comical sense that that situation would happen, and your getting all serious and offended over a hypothetic situation that most likely wont happen. if you really feel the need to type shit like this to me then you are the retard.

not to mention you got the k6 so i bet you know how it feels

I never said I was offended, just that you sound like a douche. I assure you that I am not uptight, I just had seen enough of your posts that I felt the need to say something about it. I find it comical how you got all butt hurt over this and resorted to trying to make yourself feel better by pointing out the bike I ride and how yours is slightly better and newer. Good day to you sir.

I recommend going with the k8, the all black in person is unbelievable. I had the choice also of getting a heavily discounted k7, but after seeing the k8 in person there was no hesitation that the k8 was definitely for me.

You may save $1600, but over 4-5 years that you will have the bike is it worth the extra $300 a year to ride a k8?

Additionally, when the k9 comes out will you be content with 2 generations back? Just the body styling alone was enough of a difference to pay the extra $. Afterall, a bike is a luxury item and as long as you are spending $ you might as well feel 100% confident in your purchase and not feel like you just settled.

As for financing, Suzukifest is still going on and you can get 7.99% on a revolving Suzuki Card for 24 months. After 12 months are up, roll the balance into a 0% credit card and you are financing over 2 years for an incredibly low rate. As long as you have the means to pay it off in 2 years. Good Luck.

btw, please do not use biker buddies...sounds like a Harley forum . Just kidding.

I would go with the 07 because IMO it is a better looking bike and it is cheaper and still a blast to ride, i would think that the average rider would probably not feel much difference in the way the 07 handles vs the 08

your right, but i feel much better knowing my k8 has teh electronic damper, the new bridgestone bt 16s, the extra mid range, and the 3 options. whoever claims the 3 modes, sport normal wet, are not usefull. have never used them, im sure most people when they get a chance to use the wet mode in the rain or wet roads they will be pleased, or people just going to work, feel the B may be better, (less twitchy)

Go with the 08. I do like the 07's as well, but when I finally got to look at the new 08 750 it would be the clear choice for me if I had to choose. Yes you spend more for the 08 but the 08 looks better, prob stronger, and the value will hold better than the 07. If you could afford it, get the one that will make you happy...

I agree with him. And you seem to have gotten pretty defensive after only a simple observation on his part. There are very minimal differences between the two bikes. The biggest difference is their styling and in that department I feel that the 06-07 looks much better in every way. And, for what it is worth, I think that anyone who only focuses on the year and model of a bike is a douchebag. Those are the people I politely refer to as being part of the squid population and are not worth any of my time.

I was in the same position you were in last week. I opted for the K8 and have no regrets. Basically what it comes down to is the different body style of bike you like the best. You dont want to say next year I wish got the newer body. The fact is both bikes are great and 98% of the population doesnt even use the bikes full potential. The changes made in 08 were huge to me coming off an 03 R6, but as far as the 07 your not going to notice much. My buddy has an 07 and his is great too.
