Ok I'm getting my 02 600 forks fixed and the guy said that 01 and 02's have a different part numbers and he isnt' sure if the 01 seals he has will fit. he has been calling around, but I wanted to know if anyone knew on here if they fit or not.

the ron ayers fiche says they're the same part - 51153-34e00. in fact, it hasn't changed since '97.

No luck on the 750/1000 forks? I doubt very much that they are different but I'm not sure. Good luck

i don't know what ron ayers says, but the bike shop directly told me that they are not the same and the 02 is a little different. They said they had some seals on hand for a different bike. he said they are a little bigger. But this is just what they told me.

if the seals were different, the part numbers on the parts fiche would reflect that. but it doesn't (at least not on the fiche on ron ayer's site), that was my point. ask your guy to show you how the part numbers are different.

i will he said they were different numbers according to his book, and they were more expensive actually. But this might be farfetched but it has nothing to do with them being off a telefonica i woulnd't think. Anyhow the dude is pretty reliable, he runs the pit for my friends drag bike and he almost 50 and still does wheelies from time to time. He just loves the taste and smell of burning rubber!! But then again dont' we all.
