well guys, I'm in the market to pick up an 04' GSXR-600. Now, i've been going through the pictures here and there while cruizing this forum and noticed some of you have a rear end on your 600s/750s that resemble that of the GSXR-1300 Hayabusa (a much more rounded look, rather then the standard cut and go look). Anyone know where i can find something like this?

yeah but you first need a time machine to travel back into time to be able to purchase a 2000 gsxr 600.
sorry bud but the bubble butt is only on the 1997-2000 gsxr 600s. the 2001-03 has the newer tail. i've never heard of someone wanting an older tail. this is not a mod that you just buy and bolt on. i think you need the tail fairing and subframe from an older one and you have to replace everything real pain in the butt and not worth it.
your talking about two totally different bikes. its like saying you saw a rc51 and loved the twin pipe look and was wondering where to purchase the mod with the twin pipes.

he's right your wanting the scrad tails. i have heard of someone changing it around. id imagine you would need to switch out subframes to for it to work but im not sure. you might want to look at some aftermarket race tail sections. they might have some that would fit that bike and look a little more like what you want. would probably loose your ability to ride passengers though with the race tail.

the 04 is not out yet. expect the aftermarket to have parts for it after they release the bike. is this your first bike? if it is you should worry about other things before modding it. things such as gear and being able to ride the bike somewhat more than up and down a street. please please don't be like all of the posers that sit more than ride.

asnguy, this is my first bike.. but I do have 3 years or riding under my belt. I already have all the gear (alpine/shoei).

kewl just wanted to make sure. first thing i would do would prolly get some sliders because you might drop it. then chop off the tail. and just go from there to make it unique.

Another question I have is does anyone sell an aftermarket tail ('01 GSXR-600) in either Carbon Fiber or FG that still has a removable "hump" for a 2nd seat?
