The 08 750 Map Selector defaults to the A map when started. When I look at the gauge mine is blank unless I select a map and then the A map icon shows up.

Are the others like this or is it just mine?

Describes in the manual, defaults to A and shows nothing unless you start switching around in which case it shows you what your on. Thats what mine does. Sounds like its the same thing. Hope that helps!

what are these modes ? my bike has not arrived yet so I have not had a chance to read the manual.

A is fast, B is slower, C is slowest. Ive heard it done this way. A, badass, B, early 90's 600, C, like sleeping with a porn star with no finish.

It`s more like
A: race mode; really responsive
B: Normal mode; less twitchy
C: 600 power, very subdued response - perfect for learning and wet roads

yeh infiniti is right also this is one way to look at it

A; sport and twisties
B; getting to work or to school
C; warming the tyres up/ or rainy day/wet road

A. Dry track
B. Damp Track
C. Completely useless

ok i got my k8 600 today, and only can rev to max 6/7 k rpm

it was cold and road a little wet, but even take consideration on a normal day

1. death without possibility of survival
2. certain broken arms and legs in near future
3. HOLY FUCK!

yes i come from a aprilia rs125 at about 35hp

my k8 600 is 100 or 106hp restricted atm, ill get the full 125ish (engine not wheel)

after first service, but right now i did about 40km in C mode (wet) and dam this bike how so much fucking low range power... i was sooo amazed....

i found that there was too much bottom end power in 1st gear in C, i would go arround roundabouts, and find myself nervious cause i kept acellerating cause i couldnt hold a constant speed cause of the huge power even in wet mode, well this is just a thing that i have to get used to, and learn, but yes this bike is amazing.
