A few weeks ago, I bought an 07 PUIG clear double bubble thinking that I was going to pick an an 06-07 600, but I got the 08' instead. I opted to try the windscreen on it but it does not fit, but I'm OK with that. The point of this thread was to have some informational news on it.

I emailed Motomummy about 08 windscreens but they said that they are not available IN STOCK yet. I do know that PUIG makes them as they have it listed on their site. However, from another PUIG authorized distributor, they said that PUIG has recalled them due to some issues with the GSXR logo.

My goal is to find a double bubble and I contacted ZERO GRAVITY today and spoke with a friendly woman. She said that they barely got it done and were available for sale so I ordered one and should be receiving it Friday or so.

From what she said, they have CLEAR double bubbles in stock. However, for smoked or dark smoked, they would have to be made by hand, and process time will be longer although I don't know the exact time since I wasn't interested in the smoked one anyway.

So for those who are looking for double bubble screens, ZERO GRAVITY has CLEAR in stock or you can try to get PUIG depending on your preference.

I also spoke to both STOMP GRIP and TECH SPEC. The 06-07 pads will not work and both reputable companies should have 08' molds ready and done by this week. I can't wait to get them! I just don't know if I should go Stompgrip again or try the Techspecs..hmm..:dunno

Anyway, just thought I'd share..

Genuine Suzuki Accessories has already developed a smoked "sport-touring style" windscreen for the new K8 models. Track tested in 30mph crosswinds at the Streets of Willow. This will be available at your local Suzuki dealer within a few weeks.

Nice! Wish it was a little darker though... Is it possible to make that sort of thing a little darker?

Thanks for the heads up. But that's a few weeks I don't want to wait! haha.. The Suzuki one looks really good. My friend has one on his 07 and says it helps so much.

Thank you for the feedback. It is possible to make the screen darker, but remember we are an OEM aftermarket accessory manufacturer - we can't go much darker than what appears in the photograph without getting into trouble with government relations and our legal department.
