Did you have to modify the cable? As they have in the instructions?:scratch

No cutting. It went on fast and feels very nice. Even shorter turn than the R1 mod.

I tried to install my yoyo throttle kit but I could not figure out what to do with the wires for the mode selector and how it would impact the ECU juts snipping them. I am sure someone will tackle this soon and I will following their lead.

THats BRG looks quite similar to a mod I saw, when building your own 1/5 turn throttle (or was that on the R6 forums?) Either way you can also use a pvc pipe shave it/cut down to fit around the stock throttle tube of the bike. Cant remember what size diameter though.

Wait here it is. I remember seeing this on the R6MN board. I know its a totally different bike, but you get the idea.

I made the PVC version for my 07 ZX-6R. While it worked fine it took way to long to make and was way to messy when griding it down.

Any modification at all to the stock parts? I want this, but I also want to be able to remove it if I need to.

Yeah, I had one of these bad boys on my K6... it does make a difference and is really good for track days!!

It's worth getting!! for sure... or making your own... same as with everything... wish I had thought of this idea!! simple but well effective.

Anyway, these guys do them also: - http://www.hairy-rs.com/handleshop.html

Obviously these guys are the wrong side of the pond for most.....:rolleyes2

I kept mine in the hope that it will fit the K8....cant see why it wont.. you dont actually notice in difference in fuelling other than the fact the bike pulls better as obviously in practice you are indeed turning the throttle more/harder for less effort... much cheaper than a proper
"quick action throttle"... for sure!! :biggrin

Im not too familar with this mod, does it make the throttle more sensitive? I know it reduce the twist, just wondering the affect on the "feel".

Feel?

Well... like I said I guess it "feels" more responsive as essentially your just turning the throttle that little bit harder or more without actually trying.

To be honest, once its been on for say a tank full of gas you wont notice its there but you will end up riding slightly quicker... biggest difference I would say you notice is if you put one on for a few hundred miles then take it off.... your basically left with a lot more throttle to play with.

Right enough, it saves bending your wrist backwards for full throttle.... biggest difference is on track days where you want to get on full throttle sooner without upsetting the bike.

Hope thats of some help?...

This is exactly the mod I've been looking for. I checked out the website and can't seem to find a way to order it though. Do I need to place an order over the phone or something?

I had one on my TLR. It was fun on the street but I didn't like it on the track. It personified throttle input during midcorner bumps and headshake. No matter how smooth I tried to be it was too abrupt in both rolling on and off. Now, the TLR has a lot of engine braking than a GSXR so this may not be much of an issue but I thought I'd throw it out there. Once I took it off, throttle was once again linear and more controllable.

Also, when I took it off I had to do a TPS adjustment and TB synch since the cables had to be readjusted.

Just FYI.
