So I got my plates the other day and have not been able to find a fender eliminator in the US for the 08 750.

I went to Homedepot and bought some L brackets but no deal. The would not fit flush to the body and wiggled to the point I am sure they would fall off.

Anybody out there have any ideas for making a homemade one? Any pics or write up's?

I am going to try and cut up the OEM one and see what I can make out of it.

Thanks in advance.

Graves makes one, its not on their site right now because they are getting them painted. I ordered mine before they took it back off their site, might give them a ring for details if your interested.

when you take off the stock fender, there is a metal piece that goes against the plastic fender where the 4 mount bolts go through. The bracket has a trapazoidal bolt pattern. you can use the rear mount bolts to bolt the metal piece to the bike, then bend the front mount tabs 90 degrees, and with a little tweaking, the tag bolt holes will line up, and viola, you have a nice clean looking bracket for free!!

all you have to do is come up with a tag light and you are golden.

pm me for more detailed directions if you are confused.

Does anyone know the particulars on whether those "barely legal" fender eliminators are leagal? I know they'll sting you for not having a light, but is it really ok to have your plate slanted so far down its flush with the tail?

CW LTD works on mine. Also, there was a thread, I'm sure on the first page about someone cutting their OEM one. Looks rather nice too..Can't go wrong with "FREE"

The cops in my state would be all over that setup though it looks good.
