Is there any out there for the older style sv650? Will a gsxr swingarm and shoock setup fit between the frame on the sv? Some guy came into my shop and would like this done. He would also like it lowered. So far I found that the busa dogbones will work to lower the bike but he is stuck on this extended swing arm. Machineing and fabrication is not an issue I was just wondering if anybody around here has done it or has any pics. Thanks and any info would be great http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The first question would have to be..... why?
Gixxer swingarm will not fit because the rear pipe needs clearence through the swingarm. I have seen ZX-6 swingarms used in roadracing, but you have to notch out the center brace for the pipe, and it it not longer. Your best bet would be to buy another swingare from ebay and cut and weld it onto your swingarm. It has a constant senction si it should be easy to weld.
Lowering? How much? use a new generation gixxer shock and it will lover the rear by an inch or two, but with that extanded swingarm you better put on a 800 lbs spring.

The first question....well it's a damn good one http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif sometime people come in the shop with stuff they want done that makes no sense but they just want it to look cool. So when some guy offers me a $1000 budget to lower his bike and stretch his swing arm you just nod your head and go with it. It's not unsafe or illegal and I gotta pay the bills. I was leaning toward another swing arm and extending it so it sounds like thats what i'll do. Thanks for the input kippie http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
