So my distrbutor of Craft Helmets carries a product called the V Sponge for cleaning your visor. e was raving about how great this thing work for cleaning bugs and stuff off.

So, yesterday I went for a right and got nailed with bugs all over my helmet. Come home and go to clean the helmet and decide to give this thing a go and see what its got.

Its a sponge in the shape of a V. You have to Wet the sponge with water and then squeez it so half the water is out. Then you run it over the visor a few times and then wipe the visor with the drying cloth provide. Long story short, I was freakin amazed at how well this thing worked. Took the bugs right off my visor along with finger prints and then the drying cloth work excellent with one wipe. No bigs, finger prints or water streak marks.

Now they give you a little zip lock bag that you keep the sponge in. The sponge stays wet so you can keep the kit on your bike nd use it to clean your helmet whenever you need to. This thing will definitely be going on my bike somewhere.

Here is another writeup on it.

I got a free one of these with a copy of SuperBikes or Fast Bikes (one of the Brit mags). I've never used it but I might throw it in the trunk. I wonder if you keep it wet in a bag whether it will grow moldy over time?

wet paper towel, followed by dry paper towel for me.

has anyone ever tried "tear offs"? everyone uses them in dirt track racing and motocross, but dont know if they would be a good idea on a street bike :dunno

heres some for goggles, but i know they make them for full face helmets somewhere too
