you know that winding noise your bike makes after you turn the power on? well mine doesnt make that noise anymore. what is that noise? will it hurt my bike if its not doing it? how do i get it back? oh the bike still starts and runs.

?? When you have the bike N neutral and turn the key the fuel pump whines for a second. When you have the bike N gear it won't wind till you pull up the kickstand or put it N neutral. Is that what your talkin about??

fuel pump pressurizing the system? but if your bike starts then that couldnt be it. Do you mean when you turn the over after itt starts? need more info

yeah thats exactly what im talkin about. it use to make that noise but after i worked on my bike it doesnt do it anymore but the bike still starts????????????

while i unplugged my the pump some wires came out the plug but they had identical colored wires on the other side of the clip so i just put them back in to where they matched up with the other side (clip)

Sounds like a terminal problem. Seriously though pick up a service manual online and go over the connections. You can get a manual for like $5 on a cd rom on eBay.
