I am on the fence - who bought it and for how long did they extend it? Anyone had it come in handy? Thanks!

i think its a good idea for the guys who dont know or want to know about fixin there bikes..but i would say that 99% of the time if something is goin to go wrong it happens in the first year witch the bike is covered anway. but you never know..

yeah but my stator went out a few weeks ago(owned it almost 2 years and 30K+miles) and it and the rectifier had to be replaced. my headlight had to be replaced as well as front sprocket cover all under warranty.

doing the work yourself isn't the problem.... having to pay for the parts out of your pocket is

Some say they are a rip other who have had issues love them.

The warranty saved me before. It also helped me sell a bike as it is transferable. The buyer bought my bike because of the transferable warranty.

If you do get one this place has the best prices.

I am a GM of a dealership, and I do the F & I. I used to be the service manager (for 8 years). Get the warranty. Like someone already stated, it is transferable and cancellable, and it is cheap compared to the cost of repair. labor rates are around 100 dollars per hour, and if you clicked on every part to build your bike, it would be like 30 grand or something. It is important to have a good dealership to deal with though. That can make the difference between a good and a bad experience.

thanks so much for all your input. that link had MUCH better prices than what the dealership quoted me. I have decided to go with the 60mo warranty.

yeah, here in FL, the prices are regulated by the state, so they are the same as SUZ., but I think in the other 49 states, they can sell them for whatever, so it is good to shop around.

Also - anyone know if I can extend the warranty later? i.e as long as I have done my sched'd maintenance and the bike is still covered under the factory 1 year, can I extend a month or two after I have purchased the bike? Much appreciated!

As long as your bike is still covered under the OEM factory warranty you can buy an extended warranty anytime within the OEM warranty period.

This means if your bike is less than 12 months old you can buy one at any time until the day the OEM warranty expires.

The man, the myth the legend, the roll on king is back and in full effect.

The only guy who can terrorize and rail on guys riding new 600, 750 and 1K while he is riding an old Honda Hurricane.

Proof it's not the bike it's the rider.

LOL. Well, Mr. Shiny new 750. Nice to see you too. I need to see some pics of some go-fast pieces on that bike of yours.

hey, so I got the warranty on my bike when i bought it, but I got it through the dealership. I checked out that site that you posted and was wondering how that works with respect to getting it fixed. Can you just take the bike to a certified suzuki dealership with the papers for the warranty and they will fix it. If that is the case then I think I am going to cancel my warranty that I got through the dealer and look into one of those. Also, can you buy the warranty off that site after you have ridden the bike say 400 miles? Thanks

It is the same warranty the dealer sold you and you get the same card and contract in the mail as if you bought it from the dealer.

The Suzuki extended warranty is honored at all Suzuki dealers.
