Is it just me or do all the headlights suck? My highbeams hardly do anything and I can't see far at night at all. I'll be repointing the lights tonight, but I can't see it making that big a difference. Has anyone on here changed to better bulbs? Which ones work best and are easy to install?

Helps to know what kind of bike you have first. I've had PIAA Super Plasmas which had an awsome hi-beam and good for rural riding at night or just maximum vision, however, the low-beam was average. I now have Sylvania Silverstars which have a great low-beam with a good hi-beam but the hi-beam isn't all that. My next bulbs will be Phillips Vision Plus, although they are not legal in the U.S., I hear they are the shit because they shine not only way out but also wide.

Sorry, forgot to mention it's a 2000 GSXR-750 and at night I have really crap visibility. Do the other lights you mentioned just plug right in or do you have to do anything special to set them up (not a problem, just wondering).

if you don't want to go the hid route, try a set of quality untinted high wattage halogens. the best i've tried are the philips rallyes, you can get a set from powerbulbs.com.
