: Witch Yosh for an 08' 750
Incognito750 04-03-2008, 07:39 PM Im sure exhaust can be a massive debate on fourms.
however, Ive narrowed down some options and decided that I def want to go with Yoshimura.
The problem im having is witch Model.
R55
R77
or the TRC
I want the all Carbon Fiber look, and from what I can gather over the net, the R55 only comes in a carbon tib, not the whole canister.
The R77 and TRC come in the All carbon canister according to Yosh's Website.
I just want the slip on, not the full exhaust.
I want something thats going to sound good
Im open to power gains, but that is not my first priority.
biggest problem I have, Is I have no idea what any of these setups sound like.
Ive heard a TRC on a youtube video, it seems a little to "screamy" for me.
anyone have any advice on with one to go with ?
past experiances ? sound clips ?
any advice or info would be great, like to get it ordered and in before the bike arrives.
Thanks:cheers
InstrumentTech 04-04-2008, 06:07 AM I found this site good for sound clips

Hong3103 04-04-2008, 06:27 AM Someone else posted on GSXR.com that they were a little dissapointed w/the sound of the R-77. Saying that it didn't sound that much louder than the stock system. I wonder if it's like the older Yoshi USA pipes where if you pull the rivets out of the endcap you can pull remove the baffle.
I have the R55 & removing the baffle isn't too difficult but it definitely sounds much better w/o. It's no where near as loud as the M4 or Jardine GP-1 but I think the Yoshi pipes are much more acoustically pleasing. :burnout
almano 04-04-2008, 07:28 AM on the 08 600/750 the slipons will be much quieter than before since the cat muffles the noise tremendously already.
Incognito750 04-04-2008, 12:55 PM Perhaps the R77 is what im looking for then.
I dont want something thats gonna make my ears bleed.
To be honest, my main reason for wanting to change is it the Muffler style on the 08's.
If it serves a purpose thats fine, but it looks absolutly horrible in my opinion.
Id rather keep the noise down and keep the style up.
Gixxer Genie 04-04-2008, 12:56 PM We are currently running the R-55 on the K8 Genuine Suzuki Accessories GSX-R600. We removed the passenger rear pegs after installation. From a design perspective, if you were interested in retaining the rear pegs, I would swap K8 for K7 parts - eliminating the exhaust mounting points with an OEM appearance.

I am interested in Keeping the Rear pegs there, I know the girl would not be to impressed if I removed them and she couldnt come alone sometimes, :lol
so Keeping the rear pegs is important at this time.
Its information like this that im looking for, Thanks
peasly23 04-04-2008, 02:35 PM He's not suggesting removing your passenger pegs completely, he was suggesting replacing the '08 passenger peg with an '06, '07 one.
C.Edwards 04-05-2008, 04:05 PM why dont you get racefit?
the sound is very good...

Incognito750 04-08-2008, 10:46 AM Ordered the R77 Slip on for it yesterday, kind of having second thoughts tho after seeing the Graves exhaust ( in another post )
that is prob one of the nicest looking set ups ive seen for the 08's
oregon08gixxer750 06-17-2008, 08:59 PM how to you take out the silencer in the 08 750 yosh trc slip on?

Thats nice!! Thats the look I want, Where can I find this setup? I like the Suzuki Badge and all:drool
mezer 06-18-2008, 06:06 AM Here's a vid of the R-55 on a k8 600. Sounds a LITTLE-BIT louder then stock, but above 4,000 or so, it sounds just like stock. My M4 sounds very similar to the above.
If you want loud, you'll hafta get a full system.

yellow_monster215 06-18-2008, 07:26 AM If you want loud you will have to go with a full system. There's no getting around that bud....Id still like to find the guy at Suzuki who made the decision to put the cat on the headers and kick him in the jimmy!!!!
Try going with the headers of an 06/07 (found on ebay for $60) and a graves slip on. If you do a search on youtube you'll hear one of the members in the 08 forum with his exhaust and it sounds mean. That's my plan anyway once I break my 600 in.
P.S. I'd like to have the witch and teacher clean my goose's neck over and over and over....:drool
morgan750 06-18-2008, 07:49 AM all the 08 slip on yoshi's are pictured on member bikes in this forum. just a quick search away..
Mine came w/ a trc but i wasn't a fan of the look and sound. the pipe slips on the cat outlet, the cat is even more visable, and looks like crap IMO. some may like it and that's cool as well. IMHO the K6/7 r55 trc fit and look are much better. I went the k7 header route and put my 08 can on an 07 slip on
to each his own tho! good luck on your choice:cheers
how to you take out the silencer in the 08 750 yosh trc slip on?
It's actually quite simple.
If you have a look at your exhaust from the rear you will see a small rubber plug. Remove that plug, take a 5mm key to remove the bolt... you will then have to pry the gold silencer out. It takes a bit of force, but it will come on out.
You'll have to use a magnet to get the bolt out once it completely unscrews if you happen to drop it as I did :)

:drool what an exhaust!!! :drool
>>Is that for sale?
krazykt 10-03-2008, 09:01 PM my r-55 full system w/o baffle on my k8 600 is pretty friggin loud brutha, just ask the guys who ride on my right side. lol
317PrecisionRiding 10-04-2008, 11:24 AM it really depends on what you are looking for...if you just want to get rid of the 08 stock exhaust and dont care about the sound then just go with the one you think looks best...they are all going to perform pretty much the same and im guessing with a full system the will sound similar (r55 might be a bit louder). but either way i suggest getting the full system, or the k6/k7 slipon with k6/7 headers so you can get rid of that nasty cat on there

squale147 10-04-2008, 12:03 PM if i was going to get a yosh i would go with the R-55 that looks bad ass to me
07gixxerfreak 10-04-2008, 10:43 PM The more I see pics of the R-55 the more I like it. Change my vote from the R-77 to the R-55 with CF end cap and CF heat shield.
