I'm currently in Iraq and am looking to get a 750 once I get back in June. I'm just curious to what everyone who's ordered/bought one paid for it? Thanks!

OTD? If so I say Buellshit! Anyway, if you swung that kind of deal then dealerships in Ohio must be non-profit organizations.

WHAT PART OF "OUT THE DOOR" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND???? THAT IS SUPPOSED TO INCLUDE TAX YOU FUCKTARD. If you are a sales guy, for Honda East, (which I called last week) you are lying in this forum because you need to say $9299.50 PLUS TAX!!!! And you can't use the excuse "Oh, you live in PA and don't have to pay OH sales tax." Because #1 - We still have to pay our own state's sales tax. And #2 - If I lived in Ohio, I'd have to pay Ohio state sales tax - in which case it wouldn't be $9299.50 out the door, would it? It'd be 9299.50 + 6.5% or 7% Sales tax, whichever it is over there in Ohio!

No wonder that price was so low.

They don't take loss. The amount of bikes they are selling they make plenty of money, even with the dealer holdback only!!! And I don't even talk about the accessories, and repairs....

i know they dont take a loss.. but why would sell that much under m.s.r.p?? mabe on some bikes they would but why on a bike that has no probs selling. and as for selling accessories i dont thing any dealers sell that much sence the internet. but i could be wrong.. :dunno

Best I have seen around here is $1000.00 US off retail.

My dealer has all 7 of his 08 750 sold already so I do not see much incentive for the dealers to cut great deals unless they are desperate.

If you were talking K8 CBR 1000RR then I could see why the dealers would be wanting to get rid of the bikes to almost next to nothing, but to make marginal profit on a bike that has sold itself for years and is:

A) The best selling sports bike on the market
B) Most Stolen Bike on the market
C) Most wrecked bike on the market
D) Most organ donation's by any bike/rider on the market
....list goes on and on, so why give away something people are willing to pay MSRP on just to be the first on the block to have the latest Gixxer so they can
A) Own the racetrack oooohhhhhh
B) Donate parts to other Gixxer riders after finding out it owns the racetrack and owns you if you are not equipped to handle the power.

Anyway, I am going to ask for a Suzuki coffee mug and pay $10,559. And you better believe that if I do not get that coffee mug, I am walking the F out of there.

one good thing is you only get taxed on $9199 instead of 10,500, but yeah out the door does include taxes.

What if you buy a bike for track use ONLY and never register it? You never pay the tax so your OTD price will be with no tax.:scratch

Is there no sales tax in Ohio?

Gixxerbutter

Whoops, I clicked the wrong button before I could ask another question.

How much does the dealership pay for a bike. Lets use the 08 750 for example.

If the msrp is what $10599 what did the dealer pay for it? I know a year later all the stealerships will say well we'll sell it for $10299 OTD. And they say they don't make any money but I think that's a lie. I think its in their best interest to keep it and try to make money some way than to give it away.

In cars they have a dealer invoice which is made up to show the general public what car dealers supposedly paid for the car ( It's thousands less, well a couple thousand less )

Does anyone have the inside scoop on any dealerships and the prices they pay and what they need to sell it at to make the overhead and profit?

And why is it that some dealers charge for assembly and freight. They should eat that cost and not pass it on. What shitty way to try and make more money. My local Honda Yamaha shops like to charge $750-$900 for shipping. I don't think it costs that much for a car.

And assembly takes what an hour maybe if that. A buddy of mine works at a shop as a mechanic and he can put a R1 or R6 together in less than 30mins. I know because he put mine together.
