Was holding out for a blue/white but then I went and saw this in person, better than i expected, that and the blue 600 has that awful blue seat =P. 300 miles on it so far, breaking in gently, can't wait to see what the 8000-1600 RPM range will uncover.

hey im just wondering how much it says in RPM to run the bike in. basicly how much throttle can u unload before the 600 mile service mark and the engine is ran in

I do like the fact that they went to an all metal tank again. It really doesnt look THAT much different, so it cant be hideous.

that's a damn fine looking 07... love the almost invisible GSXR badge, very neat.
Headlight on the 08 looks damn good, the pegs and exhaust can are too bright, but at least not polished/chrome shiny, they're very matte... hard to make it look good next to a raven R1 tho, sigh :-p

As for breakin, gotta keep it under 8000 RPM, constantly vary the RPMs and NOT chop the throttle. This is the EXACT type of thing the drive selector thing is for, basically clipping your torque curve when high response and power would be more dangerous to you or the bike.... other than that, not really impressed with the drive selector, it isn't programmable from the bike's onboard CPU.

Also, I have yet to feel the slipper clutch doing anything. Granted I dont have any other racebikes to compare it to, but this feels like any other bike clutch to me, maybe it'll be noticeable up in the 8000-1600RPM range when youd expect to experience wheel slippage due to high-rpms on shift.

Same here. There are a few things on the 08 I like more, but for the most part I love my Black/Black k7 :D

Nice bike though!

Ummm, you might want to "break it in" like you stole it. There is a thread you should read about this.

Still love the stock whale dick though;)

if i were you i would run it on the manual, this hard break in, isnt used in europe, everyone prefers the slower wait, subject at debate still

AWESOME. I just picked up the same black on black 08 600. I had a 06 1000 (grey/silver), but I am already having more fun on the 6er. Unbelievably manueverable!!

Sold a 1000 for a 600. You don't see that everyday, but I'm kinda thinking a similar thought and going w/ a 750 next time around. See we may differ politically but can still agree on bikes.

I have a mx and kart racing background, and I have always had litre bikes since I've been street riding (7 yrs). To be perfectly honest, the 1000 is scary at the track. I raced a 500cc 100hp go kart when i was younger, so I am used to some very fast stuff, but the 1000 is just stupid fast at triple digit speeds, and is still trying to wheelie!! When I did my track days at jennings on the 1000 I spent most of my time dealing with the power and speed and I think that the 600 will be more fun and faster at the track, and will still be plenty fast on the street. Plus the black on black is just sick to look at. I LOVE IT!!
