Hi,

I have a 95 750w and I'm getting some knocking coming from the head, I assume (hope) they just need readjusting to the correct torque.

I've never done this before so need some info if possible:

1) Do I need any special tools?
2) Whats the correct torque?
3) I've never adjusted them before, Where abouts is the bolt?

Is it underneath the top yoke?

Sorry about the n00b questions, I have no manual and not really experienced enough to do it myself without advice.

Yes - the bolt is under the top triple clamp. It's a spanner type nut with notches in it. I use a big pair of pliers then a hammer and punch to do mine. It helps to have the front wheel off the ground with a stand.

If it is just loose, then I think that you hand tighten and then tighten another 1 complete turn (I think I used big pliers also) to seat the bearings and then back it off a touch. Anyone here confirm? Be sure to inspect the bearings and the races while you have it apart and greese it up good. I have a brand new set of bearings I'll sell you if you need 'em.
