just got this in email...
For Immediate Release:
16 September 2003
Rausch Creek Raceway is Back on Track
Rausch Creek Land, LP is pleased to announce the revival of the highly
anticipated Rausch Creek North Course roadracing project. Rausch Creek
Land, LP (RCL) is a newly formed partnership, which has acquired the assets
of Rausch Creek Motor Sports, LP. RCL has also completed the transfer of
all necessary permits and zoning approvals from the former parent company of
RCMS. The new general partner, Robert Rivkin, will lead the partnership to
the completion of the North Course and the future development of the
property surrounding the track. Mr. Rivkin brings a strong business sense
of large development projects to the table for RCL and is eager to complete
the North Course Development Project. Andrew Stutzman will continue to
manage the operations and coordinate construction details for the facility.
Currently RCL has been interviewing and accepting proposals from three
architectural firms to design the buildings for the facility to include:
administration and credentials building, long term and daily use garages,
race control and media tower, VIP/spectator seating areas and other
maintenance buildings needed to care for the facility. The track designer,
Alan Wilson, and the tracks 2.31-mile layout have been retained for the
completion of the North Course. Any new construction schedules will not be
set until spring 2004.
