I've known two people who have raced with such filters on ZX-12 engines. Both had the filter come loose and spill oil on the track. Engines were not fried, but races were dnf'ed.

There isn't a damn thing wrong with the stock filter.

their claim of 'better filtration' is essentially based on a comparison of their filter to conventional paper oil filters from three decades ago. modern oil filters filter much better than scotts would have you believe.

and how many suzuki filters can you buy for that $109....8 or 9. at 3000 mile oil change intervals, that will put you at 27000 miles on the bike. i would say that most people dont have the same bike for that long. another to look at is what if you fuck up the filter somehow, say overtighten it or crossthread it or any other frivolous scenario. welp thats $109 bones down the drain. along with the issues stated above, ill stick to factory filters http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

just my opinion but you can buy a whole shitload of fram filters for your bike for that price and maybe change your oil more often probably still come out ahead moneywise.

fram filters are the worst out there, cut one apart if you don't believe me.

Also , when you do go to change your oil and "clean" your oil filter , you have to wash the fliter out and let it dry ( Would be bad to put it back together with water , gasoline , kerosine , or whatever you used to clean it out with still in it) , so now an oil change takes all day instead of 20 minutes.

109$ for an oilfilter http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

........waste of money if you ask me. Nothing wrong with the stock or any other more reasonable prized filters.
