Traitor! We have the same bike, how could you go against the beautifulness that is the k7 gsxr 600 in black! I am not sure exactly what I dont like but it seems as if the fairings are almost pushed forward in a way? Right underneath the headlight. I dont like the way it looks at all.

I don't know but the tail is pure sex.... I plan on doing an 08' tail conversion as long as all the parts are interchangeable. I also envy all the goodies they put in the engine for the 08's. With the looks aside.... the 08' is going to be a better bike all around compared to the k6/k7.

I like the new K8's. I'm glad that suzuki finally went back to the side by side headlights. I never understood why suzuki switched the dual (side by side) headlights to the "stacked" version.

When I bought my 98 gixxer, that was the reason why I bought the bike, every other manufacter at the time had the single headlight.

I was thinking of doing the rear tail and front end (headlight) swap on my K7. Should bolt right up no? Doesn't the K8 have the same frame as K6/k7 600/750?

The only think i don't like about the K8, is the exhaust. If forces you to buy a full system, unless you want to keep that ugly, heavy cat. And that mode switch, does it really serve a purpose?

The 08 exhaust is obviously a little rough to look at but the rest of the bodywork looks great. Was never a fan of the older stacked headlights and was happy when they pushed them out more towards the sides with the different ram air intakes.

Tail looks much different with the new style cowl installed too.

Im glad I bought my blue/black 07 600.

I saw it at the bike show and it was not that bad. Yes the pipe is weak but that is easily fixed.

On the flip side the new 2 way adj comp damping was a great improvement and the new ram air duct design should help a bit to.

Have to wait until I track day it to see how the improvements pan out.

I never keep the stock exhaust but just comparing old to new completely unchanged. When the pictures first came out it was strange to see such a large muffler again after the couple years of the motogp style. There are a few bikes out there that took a step backward IMO with looks, the 04-05 10R was much nicer then the 06-07 version and now with the 08 it is not too bad again.

The new CBR 1000 front end looks horrible to me, reminds me of the old school hurricane lines from the 80's.

I'm one of the first people to post in the new 08 GSX-R section. Great. I think the 08 600/750 looks worse than the 06 and 07 because of the lights and the fairings.

I read that the front is slightly wider towards the top and gets narrower towards the middle and the bottom. I don't like it or the headlights.

I will have to see the new 2008 750cc Gixxer up front and maybe I will like it next year(09) if not I'm getting a Ducati 848

I just need to see one up close to judge for myself. Im with some of you...the haedlights are FUGLY! I understand the intake underneath them, Im just not diggin them right now. However, for all I know they might end up growing on me.

Im thrilled they brought back the black and orange...but looking at it closely, theres some grey in it that Im not a big fan of.

Other than that...they are some sexy looking bikes. And just remember its all IMO

The Ducati 848 in white is very nice, was drooling over the one at the bike show. Only thing I worry about is engine longevity with them, sure it is a new design with higher service intervals but will it hold up in the long haul like the Japanese inline 4's? Would love to eventually own a Duc, friend has a 998 and I still think it is a great looking bike.

No I wouldnt. But I am not really complaining, if I was in the market for a new bike I would surely still look long and hard at a gixxer. No doubt about it. I just dont like the way they went with this new look but obviously a lot of people like it so its all good im sure.

Suzuki is known for performance over looks or bling. That is why year after year their bikes rip and other manufactures who go for bling over performance are continually chasing Suzuki.

That is why they 08 750 ram air ducts were redesigned as to flow better and that is why they have 2 way adjustable compression damping as for the pipe you do what you have to make it fit and and not drag while still passing the new emissions standards. It's better than under-tail exhaust.

As for the 600 I can't even begin to list all the changes.

for example... the MB CLS.. when it first came out.. i thought it was the uglist car ever.. but now.. i am in love.. and the MB R Class... that is something will never grow on me...
but anyways.. turst me guys.... once you see it on the road.. it will grow on you.. and eventually.. you will want a new bike....

Yeah, unfortunately they don't have the classic yellow/black like the '06 was. I had that I loved it.

2mm increase to 41mm for the ventilation holes linking the cylinder bores for increased efficiency. New spark plugs, lighter starter motor and larger generator. And a switch from four large to eight small holes in the injectors for improved fuel atomization.

Not to much but still improvements.

The wheels and subframe are also lighter and I think the primary injectors have been repositioned at a steeper 41-degree angle.

That goes for the 750.The 600 has some more enigine modifications but ive mainly jus been researching the 750. Hope that helps.

EVERY year they change, you have a bunch of people talking about how ugly the bike is. By the end of the year, there are THOUSANDS of guys who say the bike is the best ever, and the cycle starts all over again.... the next year is the ugliest ever.

I did not like the new look when it first came out, especially the exhaust but when i saw it at the show i really liked the exhaust and the eagle shaped headlight/air intake. every year at the cleveland moto show the never bring all the 600s last year no black 600 this year no blue 600, and when i ask a suzuki rep they always think its there but cant find it. the guy told me its the same as this blue 750,i said i thought the 600 has a blue seat? he had no idea, I laughed and said i should have your job,thats when he walked away.

I just dont like the headlight. It has to be my biggest dislike. The exhaust I can live with. But as said, it will grow on everyone, and soon be the better looking bike vs the 2009s. The worst part of the exhaust the CAT is attatched by being welded:cursing

When the headlight changed in 00/01.. everyone hated it. Then it changed again in 04.... and everyone hated it. 03 saw the "busa" headlight for the 1k, and it was hated as well. Then the 06s went to the "busa" style, and it was hated as well. Now the 08s headlight is ugly.

Basically nobody likes change

honestly, i didn't really notice the headlights until someone mentioned them, lol...but i'm glad suzuki didn't do major body changes, that way my bike won't look too outdated.

Hahaha, yea Honda better prove that the new design is the best in wind tunnel testing because as far as looks go it is terrible. The new GSXR front looks a bit wider than the 07 but I personally like the way they wrapped the lights a bit more, the front end pic of the white one above makes it look pretty aggressive.

Yep. I often wonder how the blue wheels are. Seems like they wold be a pain as well. White looks sharp when its clean, but if you plan on riding instead of polishing forget it. I am one that is happy with my 07. I like the gauges better & I can keep my stock exhaust. I figure everyone changes it, so it will be unique to keep the stocker, plus I kind of like it. I would like the extra illumination, but I like the black wheels on my Blue & White 750. I'm happy with my choice plus saved a few $$$. I don't race so I don't need every new bell & whistle. Heck if I could get my 98 back, I would do it in a heart beat. I miss the old school gauges. That was my all time favorite bike, other than cleaning those dang white wheels

i think that color is great. i personally would rather have that color then any. but i dont like the exhaust which i would change if i ever bought one. the front end doesnt really excite me either.

At least the 08 will match my girlfriend. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning and look at her I think I am still sleeping and having a nightmare. How quick they seem to gain weight after you have been together a while.

No, if it was a garage decoration, you wouldnt care what it looked like because nobody else would see it. You have to ride that bike in public (not saying I wouldnt, I just dont like the headlight). I think its nice, just the front I dont care for, but it would grow on me. For now, my blk/yellow K6 is a sexy bitch:cheers

only thing i think is lacking is the exhaust which is most peoples first mod weather it be for looks, proformance, or bragging rights. anyway no problems on my end with headlights or any other parts changed.

there are 3 headlights on this bike not 2, the middle light is the low beam and the two outside lights are the high beams so it does not look like one headlight is out when the high beams are off. and all the new kawi are ugly the 250 r is the best looking 3000 dollar bike i have ever seen and maybe it will keep alot of newbs from buying 600s as begginer bikes

My thought on this is that everyone that talks bad about the 08's are the ones that have a 06/07 model, therfore can't (maybe) get a new bike right now. Now me not having a bike I like the new style minus the exhaust, I also like the 06/07 style. The update is very nice in my oppion. I think the ones that bought a 06/07 would have bought an 08 if they would have seen it first. All of this is just my thought.

09 is just different colors. There was a member who crashed his k8 and rebuilt it with k7 fairings but they also had the k7 side fairings.

well I love the look of mine especially with the black cylinder head and radiator, looks much classier than my old k6. I think Suzuki has the best looking sports bikes in my opinion.
