I only have about 1000 miles on my stock bridgestones now but they have been working out fine.

I found Bridgestones BT021R's good in wet weather. Never found them lacking in the dry either. I'm in the UK so I should know :)

I don't usually ride in the rain, so I can't really help you out there. I ride pilot powers though in the sun up here.

Pilot powers are good in the wet. Avon Viper Sports/Supersports are damned good in the wet.

Tires: I commute year around and put on the PP 2ct because of decent wet reputation. So far I like em.
Here's some ride suggestions:
1. Go around the Olympic mountains (take a walk in the hoh rain forest. Check out the beach at La Push or explore Neah Bay. Check out hurricane ridge and/or Deer Creek road into the mountains south of Port Angeles.
2. Go around Mt. Rainier (hwy 12 white pass scenic byway has big clean sweepers and less cops on the east side to 410 and come back on 410. Watch out for cops on 410 and around the touristy areas of rainier.
3. Go up to Mt. Saint Helens from the West
4. Go up to Mt. Saint Helens from the East (also from there go South on NF-25 to Swift Reservoir then NF-90 South following Curly Creek. Wind River Road is awesome South to Carson.
5. Vashon Island. Take a ferry ride (don't wait in the car line, get your ticket and park up front). There are good roads around the western side of the main island, and also explore connected Maury island. Respect the neighborhoods and deer signs, but there are plenty of nice twisties if you know where to look. Nice scenery but remember it's not a race track. The mex restaurant at the north end ferry doc is very good and has awesome margaritas. You can sit outside with view of the water & ferries. Visit the lighthouse on the west point of maury.
6. It's farther, but to die for. Hwy 3 around the boarder of WA & OR (almost to Idaho) is absolutely fabulous. Killer views, minimal cars, big elevation changes, and twisties to die for. Take your camera. Ride down to the Enterprise -> Joseph Oregon, camp near Wallowa lake and make a weekend out of it. Also you can check out snake river area, petroglyphs, etc. Joseph has a couple good microbreweries and you can ride a lift at the lake up into the mountains and hike around above the tree line with a fab view into the Wallowa mountain ranges.
7. Follow 97 South into Oregon to Bend or all the way to Crater Lake. Lots of lava flows, petrified forrest, high desert museum, newberry crater caldara, lava river cave, etc. The Mcmenamins in Bend is great place to stay. http://www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=98 BTW, Crater Lake will blow your mind.
8. If you get more adventurous go into Canada and explore Vancouver Island and/or the Whistler area.
