What is the top speed of a stock 1000K3 straight from the dealer? What is the top speed with the TRE added?

Indicated maybe, but not actual.

Actual top speed is around 180mph, with or without a TRE.

If you had it more than a week you should already know that.

Especially if it is your first bike.

Thats only Jeff"s JSD, I think it gives you more power, something about being a site contributor that makes it better.

Actually tops speed for 01-02 was 178 actual, not sure about the 03, but who the fuck cares that is quite a useless stat.

I put my 03 on the dyno and got (yes no ram air effect considered, but then again no air to push out of the way either):

178 stock
183 with JSD installed

I have had 185 on the GPS (not speedo). I will try to include that picture if I can figure this thing out

Why would this be? If the limiter is (supposed to be) at 186, and other than removing the limiter, the JSD/TRE only effects part throttle in the lower gears, why would top speed be effected? Or is the limiter a little too good, like most Hayabusa that hit their limiters at 182-184 or so?

Oh well. I already have one on my bike, so I'm covered either way. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How much more accurate is the GSP compared to the speedo?

By the way here is a picture of my 1000 from sunny So. Cali

GPS is deadly accurate. The military uses them to put rockets into windows from far far away....
Our personal tests in S. Fla show that radar (borrowed gun) and gps are within a fraction of a mph of each other. Speedos on the other hand are WAY off.
