need a sator cover 07 gixxer 750, does anyone know if you need aftermarket covers for track use.

If you run in CCS or WERA I believe you do need them.

The 06 750 I bought off of Dustin Dominguez has a stock leftside case cove with a hard rubber cover epoxied to the case cover. Don't ask me where Dustin and his brother found this chunk of rubber but it is shaped to fit the outside surface of the case cover. It is very crude but effective but I plan on replacing it anyways. His bike passed tech with CMRA, WERA, and AMA (still had the AMA decal on the bike when I bought it). With CMRA the rule book states that GSXR must have a "case protector" did not say GSXR case covers must be replaced with aftermarket. I included a couple pics. You can clearly see it's a stock case cover with just a big o' chunk of rubber stuck to it.
