: Hammerit Hugger (Pics)
Dakkine 09-06-2003, 07:31 PM Just installed my hugger this afternoon. Little tricky but looks great. I have to show you guys this box it came in. I can't believe that someone had to put 121 stamps on it. Check it out.

This Bracket would be much easier to install if the tire was off. But I managed.

CHiPZ 09-06-2003, 07:39 PM Lookz sweet..
stevesz06 09-06-2003, 07:55 PM Looks nice, can I ask how much it ran? I have the Pyramid CF Hugger and wasn't 100% happy since it is rounded and the 03 Gix has more angles.
uwish 09-06-2003, 07:59 PM Have you got a link for this hugger?
02gix1k 09-06-2003, 08:14 PM Looks sharp, that's the one I want for my 1k. www.hammerit.net (http://www.hammerit.net) is the site
hbomb69 09-06-2003, 08:34 PM looks good, similar to the R6 one i put on last month, definately prefer the straight type...

Dakkine 09-06-2003, 08:56 PM If I remember correctly it was $166 shipped. I'm kinda thinkin that a matte black finish would look a little better. (To go with the frame and swingarm). I'll ride it around for awhile and see how I like it. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Thanks for the replys.
badassmofo 09-06-2003, 10:28 PM http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif but the bike looks good

The hugger looks sweet! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
chrisOH 09-09-2003, 07:33 AM I too got his hugger, and mounting with tire off would be a breeze. However 20 minutes and your done anyway so well worth it.
I got a silver with transition to yellow, and love it. (i have a thing for yellow)

I live in Florida. That should say enough.
03gix1000 09-09-2003, 01:07 PM I just got mine delivered yesterday - the post office guy was making fun of all the stamps on the box. Not to mention the thousands of packing peanuts...I feel like I'll be cleaning them up for weeks - but I managed to find the mounting bracket after a few minutes. I'm still waiting for my watsen design eliminator to show up later this week before I do the install.
Did you use the 2 bolts that came with the mounting bracket? I figured I'd just reuse the single bolt from the chain guard and then attach the bracket on the other side - I feel like maybe I'm missing something with those 2 extra bolts it came with...
Lugnutz 09-09-2003, 02:56 PM Very nice. Sweet ride Bro. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/applause.gif

I didn't get any bolts. At least I didn't find any. I just used the existing bolt and snap thingy. And unless you plan on taking the rear tire off, have fun with the bracket. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'm not planning on taking the tire off and I'm sure with my gorilla hands it will be a ton of fun. Maybe I'll just grab the duct tape and zip ties http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bounce.gif
I can't wait to get it on there regardless of how long it takes - I am so sick of that ugly fender!
