it has either been raining or 94 degrees and 90% humidity here in dc, for the whole summer. the weather has just not been cooperating and has made it uncomfortable enough to ride that i havent been all that hurt that my bike has been up on stands in the garage since i laid it down in the last week of june. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif until today.... freakin' 78 degrees and humidity in the 40s... everyone else brought out the bikes and http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif DAMMIT, mine is still in the garage on stands!!! its killing me!! i'm sitting here typing on a fucking computer and i could be out.... DAHH! i cant even think about it. (long pull on the brewski...) its bad enought that i have been having dreams about riding for the last 4 weeks. i pretend im riding my bike when im driving anywhere. (lean, throttle... more throttle... alright, split this traffic... wheelie and ride past this bitch... tuck in, look ahead and scrape the pegs on this turn... gun it up to 100 on this straight....) i hear 11 and 12 rpm in my head.... i think im becoming delusional from withdrawl. i can almost feel the wind rushing past as i duck in the bubble... i mean as i sit here like a lame-ass staring into the computer screen. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif i still need a radiator and a front rim (white, please..) i just need a fix. i dont care if its pretty, i just need to take it for a spin. i just need to twist the throttle. fuck... i need another beer. hope you guys are enjoying your rides, and dont get to read this until you come back tonight at 1am from cruising one of the last few good summer nights... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif i should be up on two before the end of the month if God loves me. there.. i feel a little better now that i have shared my pain with those who understand. it IS an addiction. keep riding fellas, (and ladies...) and dont wait up... i will catch up soon here.

to be honest, if i had my wheels up for the last couple months, i would have been riding too... but only on the weekends or evenings. cant ride to work if i'm going to pit out my clothes on the way there, and there's usually so much traffic around here that most of the time you just end up sitting around breathing exhaust and trying to wipe the sweat out of your eyes. there are some nice roads out west, on the way to skyline drive, all of which are worth a ride almost no matter what the temp. think i will be picking up the rim and radiator this weekend.. then i ride. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif still have to work on bodywork, but i dont care if its pretty right now. the weather right now is just gorgeous, you could ride all day in full gear and not break a sweat. i will have to take a couple days off of work to ride when i get the wheels up... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Everybody close your eyes and imagine this......

You've been in Egypt since January and your bike is on stands at your brothers house. Since you've been away, you have bought soooooo much stuff for your "baby" and can't wait to install everything and ride like a bat outta hell!! Finally July comes around and all you can think about is riding and enjoying the company of your wife and son. I take 2 days to install everything but the wife is not having it and the weather will not cooperate. Out of the 30 days I was home, I only got to ride about 4 days for no longer than 2 hours.

So brother, I feel your pain. I used to live in the DC area and I know exactly what you mean. But when the weather is right, everyone acts a fool!!!!!
