Great info.... I've actually been doing everything the tip offered and I've stayed out of trouble so far after a year of riding. Its amazing how by keeping yourself relaxed you can become a smooth, fast, and safe rider. I can haul butt through a turn humming music and be able to change my line at the spur of a moment if there is debris in the middle of the road.

One of my riding groups has a wide range of skill level and there is at least 1 crash on every ride. I'll pass this info onto them and hopefully it'll help.

I practice/agree with a lot of this. The only thing worth a debate is the lines he suggests trying called "going deep"

I see his reasoning, but have a look at the red line, Specifically its trajectory. You can see further through the corner and adjust your line if needed. Compare it to the blue line.

Going deep can leave you vunerable on the road and as you get to a certain speed, it leaves less room for error and your really taking a bigger chance.

You might also find your pushing your front end too hard, if you run wide your over the double line leaving no room for error. Your also pushing the front where there is a good chance of gravel build up (on the double lines). Cars or bikes going the other direction can also go over the lines leaving you in a head on senario.

Practice the "going deep" with a lot of caution. Personally, I wouldnt practice it at all

funny coz this is most of the schools and books are sujesting. yes i agree with you that this is very difficult to practice on the road. if you practive this on the truck you will be a lot faster.
What we all do we practice a lot of staff on the road just to make as safer BUT we end up going faster coz safer fills slower.
