way superior to a PC3 type setup, one less device in the loop, only drawback is you should have it on a dyno to set it.another drawback, price of addmission.
but what do i know?my dragbike only runs i 8.60's, i guess that must be slow.

I actually have access to both, the TEKA and teh YOSH FI Box.....I bought the Yosh box of ebay....(New in the box, never used with case and instructions) and I got all the info for my local dealer on the Teka, they had never even heard of it...They bought one and as a 'thank you' I get my bike updated with the Teka box.....and free dyno runs on my 03 GSXR1000.....At last count we had 17 runs with the Yosh tuners box.

Last run...Right at 156 RWHP with the Yosh box...We could only get a 9.97 @ 140 mph 1/4 mile....But with the Teka box.....We ran a 9.78 and backed up with a 9.81 at over 144mph...all of these times are uncorrected....

My 03 GSXR1000 is stock except the Arata Full Ti system and a 520 conversion w/stock gearing...All other mods are cosmetic.....Those 1/4 mile times are ran with the bike just lowered...that is it...No wheelie bar...no slick....no extended swing arm...no nos....(At least no yet)

The Teka is DEFINATELY the way to go...if you have someone that understands how to propperly tune with it......

Anyone want to buy a YOSH Tuners box???????

wel sure the teka is better than the yafms box (old unit), it was the pc-3 that was in question.

Now it's too bad that you did not have access to the NEW YAFMS box instead of that old unit...... it's much more adjustable.

that's funny, because according to marc's propaganda, the teka can tune the bike using just test rides instead of dyno runs, whereas the pc3 'needs' to be on a dyno. that's one of the advantages the teka is advertised to have over the pc3.

i have some high powered magnets taped to the bottom of my fuel tank, to ensure consistency of the alignment of the fuel molecules, increasing fuel economy, power, and reducing emissions. they must be working well, because my stock 750 hit 172mph last night.

LMFAO I like it.
Yes we all have our favourite ways to tune. I think the best thing to say is use what works for you, and what you are the most able to get help with. If your dyno guy is a wizz with the pcr3 and is willing to help you out I say go for it. If like us here we can do TEKA or PCr3 but remember time is money so U can do it quick and get it close or spend the time to do it right. I agree with Jeff if U wants to spend the time then go for it.

I have a Teka SFI programmer and I love it. I tunned both of my bikes with it on the fly. You can go to the dyno after to fine tune it perfectly but usually your close enough. I don't care for pcs I had a few bad experiences with a pc111r on my 1k. Really dont care if I get flamed for this from all the pc guys cause its all true. Once you use this unit (if you know how to tune) and see how easy it is to tune with, and how good it works and makes your bike run, you'll never use anything else. Just my opinion! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
