hey you guys overseas, do you know if they used the same frame for all the 88 gsxr's?

and for everyone here in the US, do you think it'd be wrong of me to convert my VERY RARE 88gsxr400 into a street-fighter? sayyyy.. a 4/10 or something to that effect? it's soo damn rare that yeh, it is a cool bike, however if something goes wrong i'll never find engine parts for it unless i order them from aussie.. but if i convert it and slap in a newer US engine, it'll still be that original 400 chassis (even if it's the same one used in all 3 bikes) with a fancy pancy engine that's easy to find parts for, as well as fun assorted suspension parts and seat..

Your 88 400 is the early Perimiter frame and would probably not take the larger engine. the 89 and later 400 uses a cradle frame and will take a larger engine. I might be interested in your 400 but I am waiting on my insurance to pay for my 90 still (four months and counting)

awww.. sooo close.. hehe, i guess i'll just restore it to it's natural bauty, and that sucks that your insurance is taking it's sweet time

The worst part is the passing up good parts due to lack of funds...
