romulus the jacket u won on ebay is a WOMEN'S textil jacket. u can tell by the way it comes to a 'V' around the bottom. my wife has the same jacket, just a diff color.hope u already knew this. the jacket in the last pic is leather, i have the black one.

Nah you're all wrong...

It's not a woman-specific jacket. The V shape you're seeing is just the color design. Lookie:http://www.ridegear.com/images/items/jr2201.jpg

Also it looks like the textile version. I have the same one in sz 48. It's an awesome jacket, but like everyone else says- not the greatest in the cold. Good buy though...

so i dont know if this just a strange coincidence or if the seller of the second jacket is trying to scam me. i put a bid on it and today i was outbid by a buyer (r6togsxr). so i thought i would see if that guy is on here and there is a guy on here with 8 post since 2002 with the name (r6 to 750). they are both the seller and the guy on here located in texas. is it me or do you think that the guy is trying to up his sale? or am i just thinking to much lol? oh well i dont think im buying that second one..... it was a nice idea but i just bought one already.

The overall design is the same between the leather and the textile versions, but there are minor differences you can visually check for.

First off, the leather version has shoulder armor on the outside and has shoulder vents by your shoulder blades. It also has the big "1" on the right side chest area.

The textile version doesn't have the outside shoulder armor or the vents. And it just has the "Dunlop" decals on both sides of the chest without the big "1".

And no, they never made a woman's version of that jacket.

I have the textile version and the race suit version of this design... with the leather jacket probably coming soon to the wardrobe. But I just bought a different leather jacket, so that one will probably have to wait 'til January or something.

As for wind, I use the textile jacket for commuting and I've ridden in temperatures as low as 35 degrees (not windchill). With the liner put in and my work shirt (just a polo shirt) underneath, I was fine. Just make sure to zip up the vents. ;)

Posers match their leathers to their bike colors lol...

hahah jk, but your better off with leather. You can buy other jackets cheaply. AGV sp4 makes a nice jacket, thats affordable.
