When can you start using Syn Oils in your bike. What mileage should you have on it before using it? An has anyone had clutch problem with use of Full Syns? It's time for an oil change an not sure if I want to go with dino oil or Full syn. I have 3 grand on it now. Just want the best for my baby...

Good on ya! I read some articles that indicate that Mobil 1 has the lowest levels of molybdenom (extremely slippery substance that causes clutches to slip) of any fully synthetic oil. I've run it in all my sportbikes and never had a problem.

Mobile1 Motorcycle at 2200mi. Dealer tech told me no prob. I have heard anything from right away to 5000(now).
The is something else to consider though. I have heard that waiting a long time to switch to synth can actually be harmful. Its too in depth to go into now but the synth oil will actually remove residues left from the old oil and form suspensions in your oil. If you want to find out more about oil, checkj out some oil analysis books relating to lubrication engineering. Although I believe some say to wait until the parts are totally mated. Its a give and take.

Synthetic from day one. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Doug Myer at Muzzys runs Motul full synthetic in his motors from day one. Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches,BMW's etc....all come filled with Mobil 1 in them from the factory. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
