^ Basically, yes.

Motomummy sells them, but for 8 bucks I can think of a million other things to use.

I was getting them at a running shop. The one I'm using now came bundled with a DVD I bought.

Why? They don't do anything for street bikes and the only reason why people do it is because they're just posing from what they've seen on Moto GP. In GP it's to stop leakage if any.

.......and keep UV light from breaking down the fluid faster.

MotoGP bikes have their brake fluid drained and replenished after every session. How often do you do that on your streetbike?

If that... I'm sure it drained before/after every race/practice/qualifying

I change it when it turns brown, which is about every year and a half. It doesn't take very long maybe ten minutes total.

I'm still trying to find the blue gsxr sock that I seen on a few racebikes at VIR this year.

Wish I would have taken a pic of one, but I remembered thinking at the time.... its just a reservoir sock.

Poser or not I like the look of the sock on it rather than they ugly OEM reservoir. Plus, I read on hear that the Uvs break down the fluid. Not that I'm some hardcore racer, but whatever...my choice.

It also serves another purpose. If you know you're going through a toll, then it's a great place to stuff a $1.
