: *** Dr. Fer's Turbo GSX-R 1000 stolen! ***
Mr Gixxer 08-21-2003, 02:22 AM http://www.gixxer.com/uploads/drfer.jpg
My 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000 was stolen August 19th, 2003 from Kirkland, WA (near Seattle). It is distinctive because it was the only custom turbocharged GSXR 1000 with carbon fiber bodywork that is known to exist. It has a custom paint job with a purple/blue/green color paint that is faded in the vents and on the nose, which has two projector beams.
The license plate is 698273 from Washington and the VIN: jsg1gt74a612101545. The number on the engine is: T7081020510
It otherwise has a black metallic paint on the frame, swingarm, subframe and all other bodywork. It’s decals are chrome. Marvic wheels are noticeable, with titanium rotor bolts and carbon fiber carrier rotors Braking USA rotors up front.
The bike has a lockup clutch which requires an extended billet aluminum cover that is easy to see on the right side of the engine.
The turbo charger is one of the few, possibly the only older style MC Xpress turbo system for the GSXR 1000 in the states. It is all painted black and has a custom Yoshimura pipe adapted to fit it. The header is also heat wrapped. It had an MRE airshifter, a PC3r and much more…
Distinctive Parts to look for (many rare enough to be almost one of a kind in the NW, this is a start of a list):
Black Marvic magnesium wheels with Sportec M1’s on them, worn to the edge, 180 rear
MC Xpress turbo kit with intercooler, extra fuel injectors, fuel pump and regulator, metal airbox, etc.
Braking USA carbon Fiber StremX front rotors, titanium rotor bolts
Performance Machine 95 pads
Galfer wave rear rotor
Galfer stainless steel front brake lines
Yoshimura kit clipons from Japan
Yosh pipe; distinctive because it was custom built to fit the turbo dump pipe.
MTC lockup clutch (shows with a billet silver expansion to the right engine case)
MRE Air shifter with MPS ignition kill box, onboard air pump
Lee’s performance air shifter mount
Vortex triple clamp
Wika boost gauge, oil filled.
PP tuning rearsets
LSL frame sliders, black
Dynojet PC3r
Scorpio Alarm with proximity sensor
FSMD undertail with Libertek LEDs
AK Composites carbon fiber gauge mount

twistandpiss 08-21-2003, 02:47 AM That just suks ass! I love all the crazy shit you build and just wished I had the funds to play like that! But thats all I would ever do! To take some ones art like that is the worst! Give me some details as what happened please? I am mad and I don't live near you or know a lot about it in general? aspenskyy 08-21-2003, 02:23 PM If the dirty rotten bastard thief rides that bike it will be known. I am sure your average Joe would kill himself rather quickly on a 200+hp machine. Not very comforting I know.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I hate thieves.
THIEVES http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif
Dustan_Smith 08-21-2003, 04:18 PM There is no way that bike can be sold or ridden without some one talking about it. I hope you get it back.
chezrock 08-21-2003, 04:30 PM Exactly I see NO way anyone could ride it or sell it as the Dr Said its probably in a container headed overseas where some friggin camel jockey will ride it and nobody will ever know!
I hope whoever got it decides they have to "see what it will do" and turns themselves in a grease stain somwhere!

gixxer007 08-22-2003, 09:06 PM I hate As8 Hol83 like that I hope you find them and beat them to a pulp. I hate to say this but more than likely they know it is one of a kind and will strip her down so it cant be seen or found.

tripledark 08-23-2003, 08:47 AM will keep a look out here in new jersey. i feel your pain, allt hose hours and money gone!!!! well find those cats!
zook39 08-24-2003, 12:38 PM Hey, just a thought...My wife is a vet tech and I was telling her about your bike getting stolen and about how your dogs not barking. The first thing she said was that the reason the dogs didn't bark was because they don't bark at someone they are used to being around or seeing. Have any buddies that are maybe a little shady?? Maybe a close neighbor? Someone who knew about your bike and what it was worth. Maybe they were WITH the theif. Food for thought...
92bigboreR 08-24-2003, 02:21 PM I was thinking the same thing as ZOOK when i read this. Sounds like someone that knows you.
MileHighGix1k 08-24-2003, 10:21 PM It pisses me off to hear about pricks like this. 'Sounds like they must have known lots about the bike... No alarm, no barking dogs. If she shows up out here I'll be in contact.
Thieveshttp://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif
Dr. Fer 08-24-2003, 10:45 PM there was a short interval where I took the dogs around the block to pee...so it is likely that they struck in that short period of time. Keep your eyes peeled guys...not a word about it from anybody yet.
Big_G 08-25-2003, 03:15 AM Fucking pricks! Hope you were insured...
Avalanche 08-25-2003, 11:56 AM Thats a special bike and I can honestly say its not likely to have been a random theft. I can guarantee that the thief(s) knew exactly what they were going after. Start with some general poking around with the local crowds. Even thiefs cant keep secrets forever.
MattGSXR01 08-25-2003, 08:54 PM thats your worst nightmare to have to go to your insurance company and try to get about 10K more than book value on a bike.
Something to think about. You dont have a birthday or anything coming up that maybe your wife or friends were going to suprise you and have something done to it as a suprise. Not very likely but its an idea.
Hope you find it soon.
that absofuckenlutely sucks!!!
i had not seen this till now but im sorry some dumbass fucks did this to you
i hope you catch the bastards! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

impakt 08-26-2003, 06:04 PM this could be just a shot in the dark but put a add in the newspaper wanted adds saying you want to turbo charge your GSXR 1K and if anyone has any parts to do so please call your number..worth a shot http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
shaggy1 08-26-2003, 06:22 PM that sucks dude, what a prick. ill also keep my eyes peeled in spokane, wa.
ta2drvn 08-27-2003, 03:36 PM Was watching Speed last night and on "Corbin's Ride On" they did a segment on track days and I saw a bike just like yours or at least it was painted similar to yours, was wondering if that was you or your bike, the track day was in Florida I think and I am sure that the episode will air again this week maybe if it wasn't you then you should watch it and see they only flashed it a few times and I could not tell for sure but I would notice that paint a mile away so it def had at least the same paint.
Dr. Fer 08-28-2003, 10:40 AM i saw a part of that segment but didn't see my bike, and if anyone is going to try to do a track day on my bike, after they just picked it up stolen, they're nutz. way too much hp to push on a road racing track. it was only stolen 1 week ago, so shipping it to florida and riding it on a track day and airing it on Corbin's show...pretty tight schedule...not too likely
but keep your eyes peeled
jay luv 1000 08-30-2003, 02:18 PM Dr., I am very sorry to hear of this, I will definitely keep my eyes peeled here in houston, you never know what the thieves intentions were, surely there was more than one person involved. Sorry to hear of your loss, I know how you feel, makes you never want to have anything nice again, I hope and pray you get your baby back in one piece!
DropHole 08-30-2003, 07:39 PM Sorry to hear about such a work of art, you know we're all on the look for your bike, odds don't look good but every little bit counts.
Simon_169 08-31-2003, 08:15 AM Man that sucks!!!
I hate hearing about this shit! That was an amazimg work of art, i bet it was a dream to ride.
I hate thieves.................. THIEVES!!http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif
guys like this are the same as the little jelous punks they key nice cars in the car parks!! No brains or talent to obtain nice things for themselves so they F#@K it for everyone else!!!
I can admire something like this and think the owner is lucky without needing to ruin it for them
I feel for your loss and I hope you get your baby back in one piece

jixer 01-04-2004, 03:42 AM that sucks!
Flashbang 01-16-2004, 10:36 AM Sorry for your loss bro.
Hate to say it but the bike is most likely parted out and sold. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I used to be a police officer and usually if we did not find the car/bike pretty quick it was chopped and sold as parts.
I hope I am wrong though.
HiQPen 01-23-2004, 05:51 PM Did you ever hear anything more?
Dr. Fer 01-25-2004, 11:12 AM no I never heard anything more. My bike is long gone, and I doubt it will ever be found except overseas in some mob bosses garage. I haven't replaced it yet and may not. Sorry for the vacation from the board, but I moved after that and don't have a suzuki anymore...
best wishes to every here and, if anyone has questions about modifications let me know...

Gixxer_King 03-02-2004, 04:44 PM Hey dude I am from Edmonds, Washington and if I see that bike anywhere, I will be sure to take care of the problem. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/flipa.gif
Dr. Fer 03-02-2004, 04:50 PM I am sure it is long gone. I haven't had a gixxer since, although I have thrown around the idea of building a 300hp turbo busa this year...
hope to see ya round...ride safe http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Sorry to hear about the 1k, good luck with the busa. 300hp!!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Ripped_Rider 04-11-2004, 04:01 AM Thats just phukin crazy!!! The only way they could ride it or sell it is if they repaint it, and you would have to be INSANE to paint over that work of art.
http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif
BrettsGSXR 04-11-2004, 11:45 AM If they stole it by hotwire, they probably didn't know what it was. I would call around some known junk yards. A turbo 1000 to a bike thief is like a naked man running through a garden only to find it is full of thorns. Or something like that. I know a lot of bike turn up here in Vegas too, I will keep an eye out. Are there pictures around so I can recognize it? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

numbah1 04-30-2004, 06:01 PM Sorry to hear of your loss dude. I pray that I never have to be on the "other" side of owing a bike. Good luck on your next project though.
Nirster 05-16-2004, 05:57 PM That sucks man, I study in Phoenix which is number 1 in the country for motorcycle theft... I will keep an eye out, who knows, maybe they think if they switched states, good luck, and keep us updated....
-cheers
Turnip 05-28-2004, 09:52 AM Man that fucking sucks...... I think you should arrange a ride around the docks in your area and take a walk on the atreets of downtown seattle.....
If you find the guy/chic fucking deck him once for us http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif
Dr. Fer 05-30-2004, 03:19 PM Recently, I was able to recover the rearsets only, from a storage unit siezed from some bike thieves in Seattle (a Sea Town Rider) lowlife scumbag. That was all that was recovered.

Yeah, I remember thinking at the time it happend it was one of them, or at least someone associated with that group. It was just such a large group, I kept thinking even if it wasn't one of them that there was someone in that group that knew who did it. Sure enough it was one of them after all.
Mojo1094 06-06-2005, 07:21 AM i think i just heard my bike shed a tear for yours.
when i hear about cars or bikes that get stripped, it's like hearing about a child being killed.
it hurts deep inside. i'm sorry. i hope i never have to go through that frustration
wgd9891 06-11-2005, 10:23 AM What do u mean by camel jockey dude? Some of your own breed has stolen that bike. If you are telling that some arab dude has taken the bike by tellin "camel Jockey" then you are very mistaken.
RussZTT 06-15-2005, 12:56 AM Its been a while...any update with the bike? Any word?
I'll send you Griz to come out there and he can sniff the bastards out faster than spidey can post porn! Thieves http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif

quicktoys2 01-09-2006, 04:09 AM Super sorry for the loss of your baby.
I believe that many stunt groups/clubs/gangs wreck their bikes all the time and blow the engines from burn-outs, extended wheelies cracked oil pans etc, so in order to keep on the road they resort to stealing bikes and taking the parts thay need to fix there bikes.
.......... so, if there are any local stunt clubs, start hanging out around them and keep your eyes open.
badscout74 03-06-2006, 03:23 AM dang that sucks the big shlong!hope she turns up.
spoonie 05-11-2006, 12:00 PM I'm am sorry to say but if someone stole that bike it has already been stripped down. My uncle works in law enforcement and told me they will buy a salvaged bike and just use the frame and all the parts they stole off the other bike to make a complete bike. With all the upgrades you had I guarntee they have sold those parts to alot of other people. If I was you I would make random stops by Alki beach in Seattle. Many of my friends bikes whose got stolen. Found alot of there parts down their and they have a few cops at Alki to get if you do find your stuff
