Howdy, I'm new to this board and saw couple of threads about swaping SVs front with Gixer
well I recently got the full Gixer set up the only thing is missing is upper triple and bearings
the rest is in my garage for a winter project. SO my question if anyone done this mode to his or if it's the same as on 02 svs I'd like to purchase that kit for thats straight bolt on.
Anyone can help me with that?
P.S. also got aprilia mile rsv swingarm damn love that banana look, so guess what I'm going to do is install that think on my SV650s, most likely fiew people tried to do that or maybe not at all but any info would be helpful.
Thanks much fellas

if the 03 and -02 heads are the same, just get the twinworks head bearing for the swap. makes it bolt on and relatively simple. you'll need a hammer and punch or the special socket tool suzuki wants you to use that costs bucks. best to use the special socket but the hammer and punch is fine if you know how to feel for a loose or tight head.

i'm sure kippie would know more about it.

if it is the same as the 02'. press out the gixxer stem and discard. then press out the sv stemand take it and have it plated a little over sized thn turned down to a nice tight press fit. it cost me about $30. i have heard that you can have the stem knurled(sp) to make a good press fit but have never done it my self. the difference in size is about .06 thats .03 per side. here is the best pic i could find of the gixxer front end on my bike. im working on putting the rear off a 02' gixxer on. just because i have an extra laying around.

just get the twinworks head bearing. no pressing or replating needed. BOLT ON. couldn't be simpler
