I would like to thank Stocky for his info on the 03 1K gear shift arm and the detent star that fits the 02 1K. My 02 1K already had Mobile 1 M4TX synthetic oil and the FactoryPro detent star. Both made an improvement in shift quality; especially first to second gear at high rpm. I added the 03 shift arm which is a little longer and provides more leverage for the shift. I can say the shift quality is even better now. Stocky provided the two 03 part numbers: 25520-40F00 (Shift Arm) and 25381-13E00 (Detent Star). I don't know if the 03 detent star is a copy of the FactoryPro unit. The FactoryPro detent star cost $130 and the price for the 03 Suzuki detent star is around $20 from RonAyers. The shift arm is also from RonAyers and costs about $20 as well. You will have to call RonAyers to order the parts since the 03 parts are not on the web site yet. Just wanted to pass the word to everyone and thank Stocky for great info.
