GixxerGeoff 08-08-2003, 02:46 AM if you want loud d&d ... but yoshs are usually pretty loud, is yours a zyclone baffle??
hellrazor 08-08-2003, 06:45 AM no, its the race baffle.....
ohlarikd 08-08-2003, 08:53 AM I have a full Micron race system - it is loud. At idle it sounds sweet, and when you get on - people notice. One of my riding buddies was following me and said it was awesome. And no backfiring, flatulent, pulled all the packing out the can sound.

BryceRandom814 08-08-2003, 09:35 AM why in the hell would you look for the loudest pipe for your street bike? do you realize how many people hear that and are automaticly disposed to hate all sportbikes? do you like cops looking for excuses to pull you over? pease sit down and think about how your actions affect others before doing it "cause it sounds or looks cool" next time you "get on it"and everyone notices look at their faces.
thats not admiration but digust http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif
DoublRS 08-08-2003, 09:41 AM Yep if you want a loud pipe, which I personally love loud pipes go with D&D...they are known to be the loudest pipes available....actually I saw one the other day on ebay very cheap..... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
CatchMe 08-08-2003, 04:46 PM I have a 96 750 too. I have a Micron Carbon Fiber full race system, and it sounds bad ass. By far the best sounding bike in town...
double r 08-08-2003, 09:49 PM i have a d&d full system and i would'nt never get rid of it, love the noise! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bounce.gif
s james 08-09-2003, 09:13 AM i agree that the yoshi is loud, how loud do u want.to much noise makes non bikers hate u more,& piss off the law.. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif
ohlarikd 08-09-2003, 09:48 AM My loud full race setup is because I do a lot of track days. But I'm not gonna switch entire exhausts everytime I ride on the street.

Hell yeah Micron all the way. Quiet in low rpms, gets really loud when you really get on it. Microns are pretty expensive and I'm not sure how much D&D would cost but those are loud too. If you do go with D&D try to get a racing pipe. I can guarantee that your ears will be ringing after you get off your bike if you dont wear ear plugs.
Alexandra 08-09-2003, 03:36 PM D&D's are too loud and they sound like complete shit http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif. I agree with those that mentioned the negative attention it attracts like from cops and cagers http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. If you want loud i also agree with the microns! They have a nice smoothe sound to them http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. A friend od mine just got a full Arata and that thing sound awesome doing second gear roll-ons http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

I second that, all the loudest pipes http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/piss.gif seems pretty http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gifly to me, all your going to do is attract more attention to yourself...that means the cops will be more aware when your coming down the road..."hmmm...what's that i hear a speeding sportbike...lets get him" and boom you got yourself a ticket. Go for quality and performance of a pipe. If you get a good quality well built system, you'll get plenty of sound out of it plus it'll last a long time and give a good bit of performance.
double r 08-10-2003, 01:15 AM if you think a d&d sounds like shit try listening to a drag pipe, oh yea it sucks you have that much trouble with the cops up there. oh and on the pipes it all goes back to personal preferrence. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif
I've got a full two bro's and it sounds amazing, deep and loud.As far as some people complaining that a loud pipe annoys cagers and pedestrians, being heard is being seen.
If someone in a car can hear you coming or beside them that meens they see you and are very unlikely to pull out into you.How many times have you heard of people getting smoked by cars? They always say i didn't see them,I bet if you had some exhaust notes coming out of your bike that'd make the cager atleast look to see what the hell's beside them maybe preventing a collision.I'm not talking about going home and ripping your packing out to get the loudest thing possible, but a respectful amount of noise is a good thing.Loud pipes save lives. My two cents.
G-Spot 08-11-2003, 01:31 PM I like my full D&D because I get noticed by other cars. My system came w/ my ride, but i were looking for a new system I'd get a full micron to match whatever color your bike is (blue to black fade, red to black fade, ect). If you really want performance invest in ARROW exhaust, I've never heard one in person, but I know their R&D is on the ball, hell suzuki world super bikes are sponsored by ARROW. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Drizzt 08-12-2003, 04:23 AM muzzy full race system with aluminum canister http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
