Any other Gix 1K owners with a pyramid undertail know where I can get replacement bulbs? I thought they'd be in the auto parts store, but no! They'll sell them online for 3.95 a piece, but I know someone manufacturer's them for 1.95 a pair. I'm using the LED's for now, but they're not bright enough and the flasher pisses me off. I'm not going to hardwire a new flasher in just for them. I might just stick with LED's at 4.95 a piece and figure out the flasher, since I'm not going to pay 3.95 for a bulb that cost less than a quarter to make!

STUPID AFTERMARKET SHIT!

Try your local shop, tell them you want dual fillament (running & turn signal) with the off set post. The bulbs in my and my friends pyramid undertail keep burning out, almost once a month. My dealer is pretty cool so he keeps them in stock, i brought 4 bulbs for 7 bucks last time. If you can't find them in your area let me know and i could send you some.

The local dealer didn't have them. Do yours have a part number or anything?

The place I bought the undertail from wants 3.25 a piece. Another place wants 2.25 a piece, but I found them by the box here. (http://www.sunraylighting.com/) They're part number SR12V-1.4A/.57A-G6-DCI, but the AMPS/WATTS is a little higher at 12V17/7W. I had two different bulbs in my undertail. One was a 12V18/5W and the other was 12V15/3W. I think the hotter bulb was melting the lense.

They've made me learn way too much about bulbs!

All I have to say about undertails is make sure you can easily get the bulb before you make the purchase!

To be honest dcver, i have never even looked at the part number. When i buy them i just tell my parts guy i need bulbs and he knows the bulbs i need. But i will check on that part # tonight when i get home. I also had the same problem with the bulbs melting the plastic when i first got the undertail. I brought it from CARBO TEX, i told the guy Jeff about it and he sent me new bulps, with less wattage and light assemblies. Now i guess they are out of business because i have not been able to get a hold of them.

I noticed the assembly the bulb plugs into moves back and forth in the undertail. I'm not worried now, since the LED's don't heat up as bad, but I might push the bulb / assembly as far back as it will go until the base of the bulb touches.

The bulb might only have the voltage and wattage like 12V15/3W. The dealer might have his own personal part number.
