: So sick of this weather!!!
sport404 08-06-2003, 06:59 AM This dam weather is supposed to stay the same right through mid next week. This blows!!! I try to get out for little rides here and there and always end up getting rained on heading back. Just can't win, hopefully this pattern will change next week!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif
Dingo3243 08-06-2003, 11:23 AM Hey, what color is your bike? I saw a gixxer rider getting soaked yesterday http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. I think he was on a black/yellow 600. Pretty funny in his t-shirt and all.
You just have to take rides in between the rain or in the rain. We have rain tires on. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Unless you have changed your tires, then you should be able to ride in the rain as Taz said. I still have my original tires 8400 miles on them and have been able to ride in the rain without any slippage. .. Of course I am not going to ride the way that I ride when it is dry. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Griff 08-06-2003, 12:35 PM I got DRENCHED on Sunday while I was out riding. Oh well. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Just reminded me I need some rain gear. But still had fun!

As Hammerdown said, your bike comes with rain tires, unless you changed them (Or did a few too many smoke shows http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif). Besides, you have already ridden with me in the rain.
I rode to work today. I said screw it if it rains on me, I don't care. Turned out to be a pretty nice day down here. Once again mother nature proves the weathermen wrong.
Only two things bug me about riding in the rain, visibility through my face shield and cleaning the bike afterwards.

I don't remember where I was exactly. Try Brockton Cycles for cheap leathers. I bought my Suzuki Jacket(MSRP$500) for $240 there earlier this year. Still have plenty of them left plus they sell full suits, rain gear, helmets, etc... I think they have a website as well.

I was just there last week. They have lots of the Suzuki jackets but they don't have much of a selection in full one piece suits and I couldn't find any 2 piece suits.

sport404 08-06-2003, 10:32 PM Hey man I work at Natick Army Base for my summer job, right of 27 there. So yea would should go riding. I also have a friend from Pawtucket that I will be riding with soon too. I've been so paranoid about speeding lately since I got my ticket a few weeks ago, that sucked.
I was looking at the thread about the Tecknic stuff 1/2 off, I think I am gonna pick up that jacket for $140.
TLCGSXR 08-06-2003, 10:51 PM All right then lets hook up. Maybe Sunday will be nice enough for an all day ride?
sport404 08-06-2003, 11:09 PM Gotta work that day at my second job, sorry man.
