Well here i'm the problem is:

Left Corners , as most of us are i do have a prefered side to corner , that is the RIGHT SIDE .. i have been goin to the same Canyon/Twisties for a Month Azusa/Glendora Mountain Rd(GMR)/Glendora Ridge Rd(GRR) the section are very very tight and technical you have chicanes, banking , downhill left's and right's , most are banked blind corners the place is like haven for me.

I have been dragging knee in most longer right turns , but the left side ... for some reason , i know that most of this is a mental condition i have the felling that if i lean ( either body or bike ) have this feeling that im gona fall , maybe because most left turn are very banked downhill long at a low speed ( 30-45mph ) , so last saturday i for the first time got the LEFT knee down BUT at the same time i end up dragging the tip of my boot as well , wen i got the felling that my boot was sliding ( in my mind: oh shit i will drag footpeg and lose rear traction LOWSIDE!! ) i got out of shape = chasis got mess up , i picked up the bike = chasis ok , but since saturday i have been some what a chicken on left corners ... i have been felling my front end losing traction on the left corner all the time , fells like is braking away... and i get off the trottle , than just fells like 1.000 G's in my head being sucked to the ground.. very unique sensation.

i know that the dragging boots are my own error for bad foot "form" ( still learning the twisties style since i got here/California a month ago )

my question despite my sucky english is , How to overcome the fear and focus in what i'm doing? , because i have been getting better , faster, safer , accurate but i know im stuck on my left corner dilema.

How to overcome ? i believe if i get this fear out the way i soon will be a 50/50 rider ( 50/50 just as good in any side )

OBS: the mind condition above only happens at the twisties w/banking downhill on a low speed & low leaning angle

Takes seat time man...dragging is way over rated anyhow. In essence you want to do a mirror image of what you do turning right (I don't know what your form has evolved to, b/c I haven't ridden with you in a while). I know left handers were a problem for me in the beginning, but now I've got no problem after working through my fears of falling and what not. It's more mental than anything. Just takes time and practice, the more you do it the quicker or better yet the easier it will come. Since I've converted to the track left or right doesn't really matter anymore. One thing I do is to make sure I setup my body, for whatever turn, the same way every time, so it becomes more muscle memory. Take baby steps though and don't change to much at one time. Another thing that helps is pictures and video so that you can kinda critique yourself and see what "you" think you might need to change next time. Everyone has their own style and one style isn't necessarily the correct way either. Just take your time you don't wanna end up on your head. :cheers

+1 on what Lee wrote.

Also recommend a trackday.

faith, if you think somethin is gonna happen, it will...trust your bike, respect it and dont fear it. You will never progress if you dont get outside your confort zone. +1 for what (lee, i guess?) wrote, especially with the knee thing, i have no chicken strips, (maybe a mm or two, mind you) and have not needed to get a knee down. I have only been riding a year, and I am keeping up all the way with friends who have rode for 5+ years. Which could also be a reason for my fast progress. Btw im not saying im an awesome rider at all. But I have learned quickly because i ride with confidence (not pride) Skill is built on experience and knowledge. I spend alot of time reading, watching instructional videos etc. and that has helped alot. I would recomend a book called "total control" by lee parks. Half the book is about overcoming fear, and concentration.
I had the same problem with right turns. and one day I told myself I was scrape a peg going right, and i wasnt going home until I did. I went to my favorite turn, and just did it. that one turn changed everything.

My problem is with right turns and i think it has to do with that being my throttle hand. IDK. But what kills me in my corners is when i see a little bit of rubble or anything that shouldnt be there. Rocks, dirt, whatever. As soon as i see it i bail on the corner because thats how my buddy went down.

Go to the track. No road debris, not oncoming cars to distract you. draggin knees is the result of going fast. it won't make you fast. :cheers

dont let it spook you, if it really scares you that much, cruise through the road you want to bust, and look for problem areas, then turn around, and conquer the right turns.
